Lands for Sale.
A TRACT at Newport, in the parifti of St.
Andrew, whereon William Brown lately
resided, hear lands of Benjamin Andrew, and ad
joining the Defart, contains 3150 acres, great part
of which is exceeding good rice land, and never
failed, when under cultivation, of producing laigf
crops, having conveniency for reserves of water,
ana is very advantageous in point of situation for
taifing flock. . - ,
A Trad, Containing 200 acres, in St. Afwrew s
parish, on the Alatamaha road, where John Curtis
formerly resided, takes in the swamp called Little
Mortar, is a convenient situation fora tavern, and
has every advantage for keeping and raising ifock,
having a fine range of pine barren all the way from
the fame to the Alatamaha.
A Trad, containing 500 aeres, in the parish
of St. David, on the Buffalo Swamp, adjoining
lands of Jonathan Fox, a great part of which is
excellently well timbered swamp, laid to be of the
Left quality for producing rice, is abqut i 2 miles
from the town of Brunswick, and convenient to a
landing on Fume River.
Five Sixths of a Trad, in the diftrid of Little
Ogechee, about 12 miles from Savannah, ami not
quite two from a landing, containing 424 acres;
about one third of this trad is.cyprefs swamp, 60
acres of which is cleared and undjr dams j the re
mainder is good high land, a part of which is
cleared and under good fence, and is well unprov
ed, having a good dwelling houie, kitchen, barn, ~
and garden, with a number of fruit and ornamen
tal tress, and is-an exceeding pieafant ami healthy
situation. * , .

THE subscriber gives this publick notice, That, in
powers lodge,! with him by John
Cruden, Esq. Commifiioncr of Sequestered Ertares in
South Carolina, he has directions to rent out to loyal fub
jedts divers plantations, situated on the north fide of Sa
vannah river, from the sea or mouth of laid river up as
high as New Windsor, opposite to Ausjufta, none of whlth
plantatiom taA>e~difbrnt above ten miles from the river :
And, for the greater conveniency of those who wish to be
accommodated on the upper parts of the river, Mr. Ed
ward Keating at Augufti will have dire&ion? to tranfaft
this business from Matthews’s Bluff up to New Windfor*
aforefaid :AU persons, therefore, who may, without au
thority, have seated themselves on deserted plantations
‘within the limits abovemen tiuned, are desired to apply to
the subscriber at Savannah, or to Mr. Keating at Augus
t, in order to be furnifhed with the requisite permiflion to
occupy such plantations, ocherwife they will be prosecuted
and dispossessed of the fame, and the plantation* rented
out to others.
And as many negroes, also corn and other grain, and a
number of horfer, cattle, sheep, hogs, and other (lock,
betides other property, have been taken and carried from
deserted plantations, within the limits abovementioned,
by persons who had no authority for so doing, the fubferi

such propeity must be delivered in to him as soon as pos
sible, having inftruflions to transmit the fame to Mr.
Cruden at Charleftown; and, on refufal or negleft so to
do, such offenders w-ll be prosecuted, and informants will
be handsomely rewarded on convi&io* of the offenders.
And as there are a number of negroes belonging to se
questered and abandoned estates in the province of South
Carolina in the poffeflion of people in this province who
have no legal authority to detain the fame, this is there- .
fore te acquaint at! such perfon* who have in their poffef
fion-negrocs a’vahove deferibed, that, - forTheprefent, they
do immediately, or in 14 days, give in to me a return of
such negroes as are in their pofleflion, and the time they
have been in their service, and those who fail in this will
be prosecuted accordingly.
The Commander in chief of bis Majefly’s troops in this
province having given orders to the different Departments
of the Army to make a return of such negroes as arc in
that employ, it is therefore expe&ed that no individuals
will confider themselves aggrieved by any adtions that may
be brought against them after this publick notice.
And whereas thefb are many who have and do still con
tinue to cut wood, to tlieir_own private emolument, from
©ff the plantations on the Carolina fide of Savannah river,
jn the diftrift abovi deferibed, I do hereby (in consequence
of powers given £0 me 3nd positive orders) forbid ail per
sons whatfoevfr taking upon them to cut any timber with
out permiflion granted for that puroofe.

the fourh by Savannah river and lands of Thomas
Red, Widow Frier, and Peter Torquend, and on

Francis Stringer. •
Also a Traclin St. George’s pari ¥ containing
1000 acres, more or left, bounded £n the north
by Great Ogechee river, and vacant on all other
sides; and another Trad of Land, containing 2000
acres, more or less, in St. John’s parish, vacant on
all sides; and another Trail of Land, containing
630 acres, more or less. in St. Philip’s parish,
bounded on all sides by vacant land ; late the pro
perty of Thomas Lynn.
And two Trails of Land, fitftate at Wrightf
borough, in the parish Os St. Paul, containing 700
acres, more or less; and also two Lots of Land
situate at Augufla, adjoining lands of— Horrey
and— Bttgg, the said lots 100 acres of swamp
land ; late the property of William Goodgion.
The whole seized on execution.

more or less, in the parish of Sf. Andrew, which
trail was granted to Stephen Drayton, bounded
south-easterly by lands of Alan and Aon Stuart,
and on all other sides by vacant hinds; and also
another Trail of Land, in the said parish of St.
Andrew, formerly granted to the said Stephen
Drayton, containing 300 acres, more or left,
bounded noithwardly by lands of Stephen Dray,
ton, fouthwardly by lands of Alan and Ann £tu
art, and on all other sides by vacant lands; late
property of Al.m Stuart, deceased.
All the above seized by virtue of executions.

the subscriber at Mr. James Brifbanc’s plantation
on New Rircr Neck.
