night Las Vegas and Grand
Canyon trip in September
2008; a Nashville show trip

Alaskan cruise from May 15-

• Looking for homebound
seniors interested in having a
“friendly visit” by a volunteer.
The goal of the “Friends of
Seniors” program is to
decrease social isolation for
seniors. The volunteers for
this program enjoy being with
others and conversing on the
phone or in person at the
senior’s home. Volunteers are
matched with seniors using
similar interests, hobbies and
demographics. Some activities
that volunteers and seniors
may enjoy together include
playing cards, taking walks,
reading or talking. For more

The Many Horses

Walk for the Water starting at

Chattahoochee River on May
30 and ending on June 10 in a
traditional Native American
Ceremony in Atlanta, June 4,

American Festival and Benefit
Concert at Lake Lanier Islands
Resort. They are asking for
Native American Elders, as
well as all people regardless
of race, religion or ethnic
background to walk with

Vogel State Park hosts
free “Kids Fishing Rodeo St

Vogel volunteers and staff will

Law Enforcement Academy

Mondays. The academy is

training and law enforcement

Sheriff’s Office, and all
