An Ordinance
To ratify certain nets, judgment.-', and
other proceedings therein lnoniionod:
He it ordained by the people of Geor
gia, in Convention Assembled, That all
the acta and sales of executors, adminis
trators. trustees, and guardians, and of
judicial and ministerial officers, had, done
and performed, ami made honalldc, and
in puiHuanco of, und under color of law
since the l'Jlh day of January 1801. which
are not in can Hid with the constitution of
the United States, and of the constitution
of this State, he and tlm fame are hereby
ratified and confirmed, subject however,
to the right of appeal and Mipurcodurc*
according to law; provided, that in cases
in which judgment or decrees have been
rendered iu all courts of record in this
Mate, since tho l'Jlh day of January lHt’d,
and prior to this datj tho party against

To prevent the levy and faIo of tho prop
erty of debtors under execution, until
tho adjournment of tho first session of
the next Legislature or until thn Legis
lature shall otherwise direct, if before
that timo.
He it ordained hy the people of Georgia
in Convoution Assembled, That there
shall he no levy or sale of property of de
fendants in this State under execution,
founded on any judgment, order or de
cree, except executions lor cost or rule*
uguinsl otueurs for money, und except
caec.- where defendants resident within tho
State have absconded, aro absconding, or
about H* remove their property without
the limits of any county in this Stuto, un
til the adjournment of tlm first session of
the next legislature, or until the Hegishu^

Be it further enacted, Any officer, cr
other person, violating this ordinance,
shall be guilty of trespass, and liablo to be

proper jurisdiction, and the measure of
damage shall he the injury resulting to

Be it further ordained, That tho statutes
and limitations now of force in this State
be, and tho some is hereby suspended in

next Legislature, or until the Legislature j
