An Ordinance
Regulating the Mooring of Boats at the fVharvd
Skc. 1. Re it ordained by the City Council «
Augusta, that (rout and after the publishing ot .
this Ordinance, no empty boat having less thr:
three able and competent men on board at a.

3. The City Marshal, or any other offL'ir ot '
Council ahall have, and they are hereby vt -led
w,ih power, and are required, to remove or cause
to be removed, at the risk and expense of the
owner, to some place below the bridge, any boat
or boats, which may lie neglected by the owner |
or agi nt , and for each boat so removed the offi s
cer shall b* entitled to ten dollars, to be reci-iv
ed from the boat owner, in the same manner as ,
other expenses incurred in the removal.
4. The owner or owners of any and every boat
shall be liable to a fine, at the discretion of Coun
cd, not exceeding two hundred dollars, lor each (
and every violation of this Ordinance, and shall
moreover repair all damages done to the VVharve 1
or Bridge in consequence of such violation.

District No. 2, on I'uesdays and Fridays.
District No 3. on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
It is particularly requested that filth shall not
be thrown out at any other time.

Monday commencing on the 6lh day of June
next, until the first day of August, to receive
the returns of the taxable property of such pet
sons as have not had an oppoi (unity to make
heretofore. And all persons who do not make
their return previous to the first of August wil 1

can get them, who left my plantation in Greene
County, on the lOih ult. DICK, a large black
fellow, be is upwards of six feet and very stout,
lie has u piece cut oil' one of his ears-—1 should
suppose hint to be about twenty five years old.
ISAAC, a mulatto fellow, about twenty, lias a
scar on his nndei lio, about five feet, eight inch
es high, and S i EPHEN, an African fellow, about
30 years old, and about the size of the above boy
Isaac.
Any person who will apprehend and confine
the above mentioned Negroes in any Jail, ahall
be paid the above reward, or in proportion for
any one of them. I calculate they are about
Augusta or Savannah, or they may be in Han
cock, as Dick has a brother at Mr Hugh Tail r’s.
