AND STEAM BATHS.
Dr. DUEL, a French Physician, rerppctfully
informs (he public, that he ha:? established
if STEAM awl MEDICAL DA TS in August
e i phe very high repute these Baths have acquired
t, m Europe, where (although a late discovery)
' they are to he found in every hospital, and the
x great cures they have performed in Boston, Phi.
e ladelphia and Charleston, can leave no doubt of
:• their efficacy. The most gentle as well as the
- most powerful medicines are administered by that
y means, without any pain, trouble or disgust to Use
' patient;
They are a never failing remedy in all ethane,
d mis affections; from Psora, Ringworms, &c. to
Sraldhead and Leprosy, They also have never
a failed of success in cither acute or chronic rheu
matism.
i In glandular obstructions, chlorosis, nnasarcom
* twellings, incipient dropsy; in all diseases of the
i joints, gouty affections, dispersion of tumors, ill
r cured syphilis, spasmodic or nervous affections ;
’ in all bilious disorders, dyspepsia, hypneondriasis,
- t'pilepay—these baths have been found most ser

• ditary complaints. Fn fine, this manner of admin
t i storing ulriw.it every remedy belonging to the
, healing art, may be rendered applicable to almost
every case, and (it is repeated) without any pain,
i rouble, or disgust to the patient.
As these baths are not yet generally known,
Dr. Model will be happy to give the most ren
pectable references to persons who have been
cured by taking them.

"PATENT COTTON PRKBS.
Subscriber respectfully informs his friends
1. and the public in general, that he has invented
KtYi & useful MuclvVuc,
for the purpose of Packing Cotton into square
-Bales, by the power of a Lever, acting on
a Fnlcum. -which drives the follower
that presses the Cotton into the Hale. |
The power of this Machine is such, that from
450 to 500 pounds of Cotton can be pressed in
to live yards of 42 inch bagging with considera
ble eas-, ami in a very short time. Ihe superior
advantages of thin machine are clearly manifest,
that in addition to the small quantity of bagging
required, fwhich certainly is an o\ject,J two
( bands can with great ease, pack from eight to
twelve hales in one day, if the cotton is conven
ient, by having some assistance in sewing, which
is by far the most tedious part. The simplicity
of this machine and its superior power are great
, Iv tidin'red by mechanical artists, and in fact all
1 who have seen it. By a mechanical demonstra
tion it is proven, that the power of the hver
