Grand Concert.—The approaching caocort seaeon
pro hi idea, by its array of excellent performers, as bril
liant a career as it ha9 ever had in Savannah.
By reference tc* our advertising columns it will be
setrii that a grand concert will be giyen at St. Andrews'
Hall on Monday evening nest by professor Lessing,
assisted by Protet-sora Maas, Gowes aud Louis and
Mr. Ehrlich. ‘ The programme of the occasion com-
priita selections of musical gems from the gNffit com
peat-is, and the combination of talent that will
be* displayed on the occasion has rarely boen
printed in the concert room in this city.—
Hence v,e anticipate an effective presentation, of Hie
entire programme, and we are fettle dtP t|o reaBzatlon
ot oar hopes since Professor Lessing has been suc
cessful in getting a company of artaistt not less dis-
hagui-ked than himself, and who will spare no pains
to provide the lovers of music with au. eqlcrtaiument
embracing the newest features of musical combina-
tions.^ No repetitiops are offered, and from the open-
ing to the close of ihe brief season -only the moat at
tractive pieces will bo rendered; and therefore we say
secure your seats for the -eason at once, and re
member this may be done at the places specified in
the &dvertisciu; nt.

The Kunkel Minstuelh.—By the announcement
in another column, it will be seen that this popular
troupe of vocalista will ox>en the theatre for a short
reason on Monday evening next. Many of our citi
Evils will re-member the visit of Mr. Kunltel, with
his troupe, to Savannah several years since, when
they made a very favorable impression l>y their excel
lent musical and humorous entertainments. The
company has since been reorganized aud greatly im
proved. The Augusta Chronicle, of yeeterday, speak
ing of their closing night in that city, says:
•‘This talented and popular company have made
quite a favorable impreasion upon our coramunitjv. as
i* attested by the large and delighted audiences that
nightly attend their performances. Mie large number
of ladies tbat attend Is vetr enflofirf^ng, and is of it
self a recommendation to the character of the ont^r-
taiLimenis. Every effort is made to please, and haa,
thus far, we are pleased to say, proved entirely suc
cessful. . i- -
“Mr. Kunkel is a fine singer, and a gentleman or
good social quahtie.", aud has spared no pains to pre
sent to our citizens an entertainment of ihe first or
der of its kind, which is well worthy their patronage
