The arresting officer said that he was called upon
by a child toarreat the man, whom he found abusing
thechild’a .mother. He found the defendant throw
ing hvidcs at the woman, and when he went near him
the prisoner threw a brick at him, which took effect
on his forehead.
A negro who had aaaieted in the arrest detailed the
whole matter, and said the offloer had requested him
to aid him. His Honor remarked that he waa per
fectly right in aiding the officer, it being the duty of
all good citteeus to aid the officers when requested to
do no.
Tie defendant waa then fined fifty dollars for dis
orderly conduct and tearing the officer's uniform. For
striking and abasing the officer he waa tamed over to
ths County Couit, the city to prosecute the case,
was taken to Justice Staley, who committed him to
answer.

Of gray doth, according to pattern in this office:
stand-up collar; double brelated; cape to reach down
to the cull of the coat when the arm la extended, and
to button all the way np; buttons. State of Georgia.
Both coat and cape to be lined with blue flannel.
