by Dr. Lorain, one ol lb.: physicians ol the

sion, the blood in cholera becomes thick ; or.
to speak more correctly, loses its wintry par
tides, and does not circulate in the cap'yl
hay system. Under this state ot things tlYi-

iuto collapse. Dr. Lorain thought that when
