contractors who will put it through in a short
time. Hup’t. Moss has gune to Atlanta to
procure two turn able* and to secure extra
force upon the road. The locomotive,
" R. L. Moss,’’ with passenger and baggage
car will he finished by July 1st.
The following are the stations upon the
road:
Athens, ’’Center,” (6 miles), named for
the late Geo. -W. Center, “ Nicholson,**
(at the Benton place 11$ miles), named for
the Precedent of the road, Harmony Grove,
• H miles), Mayusville ( 24 miles). Gills-
vtlle, (32 milts), and Lula City about 40
miles from Athens, named for the charm
ing daughter of one.it the di ectors. Next
Saturday trill find the road about midway
between Athens and Harmony Grove.

The friends and acquaintances of this
most estimable young gentleman, were

dread disease, which only three months ago
