As tin* time’is approaching when
the international Exhibit ion at Phila
delphia will l.»c closed, and t)s the
weather has become cool^the num
ber of visitors has greatly increased^
and is increasing from week to week.
On Saturday, the 8th inst., the rec

grounds was 99,813, to the Live
i Stock Display 4.336, and ivitli the
tree admissions the number on the
grounds was 115,000 This was
one of the 25 cent days, the exhibi
tion being ■ petted at half price on
Saturdays. The number from day
to day during tin* past week 1ms
been very large.
We have not met with a single
visitor returning who has not ex
pressed tho highest satisfaction with
what he has seen, as surpassing all
expect at loo. Those who have visited
any or .ill of the World’s Expositions
in Europe during the last twenty,

of them ourselves), unite in spying

the thousands in all lauds who have

splendid success of the enterprise.
One cause of the steady increase in
the number of visitors is to be. lyi»ml
in the report which has been brought
back by tlio.-e who have bc.-n
upon the ground. In some remote
parts of the country, we learn there
was little enthusiasm felt in the Ex**

son. Bat report which was carried
back by those who came, was so like
that ot the Queen of Hlirba in regard
to the .glory , of' Solomon, that the

With increasing numbers of course
has come increasing pecuniary suc

cash receipts up to Saturday evening,

in June, *247,$33,tt; in July, *318,-
