Reynolds Woman’s
Club Meets Sept. 6
The Reynolds Woman's Club will
met at the Club House next Wed
nesday, 3:30 p. m. Mrs. Pete Ayers
newly elected president, will pre
side at the meeting.
An interesting program will be
presented by the Education Com
mittee. Mr. E. H. Joiner will be
guest speaker on this occasion.
All members are urged to be
present for the first meeting of the
Club year.

Macon Man’s Body
Found in Car
There will be open house at the
new Reynolds Methodist parson
age Sunday from 4 to 7 p. m.
The public is cordially invited to

Jeffersonville, Ga. — The badly
decomposed body of a Macon Man
was found a few days ago in a
closed automobile six miles from
Jeffersonville.
Twiggs county Sheriff Hamrick
tentatively identified the man as
Gordon Johnston, 40, of Macon.
Dr. Leonard Howard, assistant
director of the State Crime Lab in
Atlanta said the body apparently
had been in the auto two or three
weeks.
Hamrick said a garden hose had
been connected to the exhaust pipe
of the car and run inside the ve
hicle.
The car with the body slumped
inside was found 100 yards off the
highway on a deserted road.

days visit.

spend the week end in Jacksonville

turn home with them after a visit
with friends there.

Harding near Columbus.
Miss Andrea Carswell Jolly,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
T. Jolly of Oglethorpe; and Frank
H. Sams, Jr., son of Dr. and Mrs.
F. H. Sams of Reynolds were mar
ried in a ceremony in the Ogle
thorpe Baptist church, on the af
ternoon of August 19, at 4 o’clock.
Rev. F. Melvin York officiated.
Mrs. Lewis Ruffin of Reynolds was
organist.
Woodwardia fern was used to
form a background of greenery for
the ceremony. A large center ar-
' rangement was made of white
■glads, fuji mums, and large white
mums. Crescents holding 15 can
dles were used on either side of the
church.
j The bride’s only sister, Miss Joan
! Jolly, was maid of honor. Her
gown was of pink embroidered silk
organza, fashioned with a scoop
neckline and full, deep hemmed
skirt.- She wore a matching crown
holding a circular veil. She car-
jried a cascadd of lilies.
I The bride, given in marriage by
her father, wore a dress of lace
over net and taffeta. The bo-dice
featureda long sleeved bodice ef
fect. The skirt was formed of nar
row lace ruffles. She wore a
