Mrs. W. T. Whatley has resumed
teaching after a very painful brok
en shoulder accident.
Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Goddard left
Monday for New York. Mr. Goddard
is going for treatment.
Miss Amelia Fletcher spent the

Wayne Parks, U.S. Air Force is
on a special assignment for 20
days in the Panama Canal Zone.
Mrs. T. J. Hartman is in Macon
with her daughter, Mrs. McElrath
who is ill in the Macon hospital.

Mr. and Mrs Gosses and
daughter, Miss Doris Gosses will be

Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Childre took
their baby to Johns-Hopkins Hos
pital, Baltimore, Md., for treat
ment. They left on their mission
last Saturday.

ant Tony Martin of Camp Gordon,
were Sunday guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Cosey and family.
Mrs. C. W. Hoats is ill with
pleurisy at the home of her daugh
ter, Mrs. Robert Cosey. Her many
friends wish for Mrs. Hoats an im
mediate recovery.
Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Whatley, Dr.

family, Mr. and Mrs. Julian What
ley and family spent Sunday at

has been moved to the hospital in
Ft. Valley and is improving after
undergoing surgery in Macon hos

aries from the Congo, who are at
home on furlough stationed at
Statesboro, presented phases of
their work at both the morning and
evening worship hours Sunday at
the Reynolds Methodist church.
They were dinner guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Ed Goddard and family.
Rev. and Mrs. Virgil Culpepper and
Miss Rebecca Culpepper and Mrs.
F. M. Carson were also dinner
guests of the Goddards.

Tourney Playoff

Club of Reynolds match play club
championship tourney were com
pleted on Feb. 18th.
Mr. Mac Marchman closed out
his two nearest rivals on the 17th
ihole. Mr. Andy Borders runner-up
nosed out Mr. Wade Lane who
placed third in the tournament.
In the women’s division Marion
Newsom won over Cat Brady by
closing out on the 16th hole.
The new club match play cham
pions were presented their trophys
by Pro-Curt Hammond after the
tournament.
Mr. Hammond also announced a
new tournament to be played on
next Sunday. A Scotch Tournament
where names will be drawn for part
ners tournament day.
