I consider Wine of Cardui superior
to an y doctor’s medicine I ever used
and I know whereof I apeak. 1 suf¬
fered for nine months with suppressed
menstruation which completely pros¬
trated me. Pains would shoot through
my back and sides and X would have
blinding headaches. My limbs would
swell up and I would feel so weak I
could not stand up. I naturally beyond felt
discouraged for I seemed to be
the help of physicians, but Wine of
Cardui came as a God-send to me. I
felt a change for the better within a
week. After nineteen days treatment
I menstruated without suffering the
agonies X usually did and soon became
regular and without pain. Wine of
Cardui is simply wonderful and I wish
that all suffering women knew ot its
good qualities.

Periodical headaches tell of fe¬
male weakness. Wine of Cardui
cures permanently nineteen out of
every twenty cases of irregular pains
menses, bearing down or
any female weakness. If you are
discouraged and doctors have
failed, that is the best reason in
the world you should try Wine of
Cardui now. Remember that
headaches mean female weakness.

Col. T. L Gantt takes Ride over Roads
and Finds Them Good.
Editor Echo :—I am spending sever¬ Hon.
al weeks with my esteemed friend,
James M Smith, and yesterday took ad¬
vantage of the kindness of Mr. J. D.
Power to visit Lexington. There are no
better or nobler people on topside of
earth than the citizens of Oglethorpe
county and the town of Lexington,
and it is always a pleasure to meet and
mingle with those old, tried and true
friends. I went
During my ride to Lexington
over the new road leading from near Mr.
Smithonia and returned home by
John Jarrell’s beautiful farm. And
Mr. Editor, just here I want to say that
I never saw better public highways for
the amount of money expended in keep¬
ing them up than Oglethorpe now boasts.
Iu Spartanburg, S. C., they spend more
than three times as much per mile as you
do over here, and their roads are in not
near so good repair as yours. The section
through which 1 passed is under the
control of Commissioner J. D. Power,
) and he tells.me that in many other sec¬
tions of your county the roads are in
equally as good condition. This speaks
well for the faithfulness and efficiency
of your county board of commissioners,
and they merit not only the endorse¬
ment but the gratitude of every citizen
and tax payer. They are certainly the
rigt men in the right place. realize
The people of any section more
direct benefit from the taxes that they
pay to maintain public schools and
highways than any other
made, for all alike, rich and poor,
the benefits thereof.
I have always been an
good roads as the back tiles of the Echo
will show, and I am glad that your
county has at last made a move iti this
direction. If I was a citizen oi Ogle¬
thorpe I would gladly vote a one hun¬
dred thousand dollar bond issue to grade
and macadamize good highways radiat¬
ing in every direction from Lexington.
Respectfully, Gantt.
