The proprietor of tlrs celebrated medicine justly
claims for it k superiority over all remedies ever olFer

manent cure of Ague and Fever .or Chills and Fever
whether of short or longstanding, lie refers to the
entire Western and Southwestern country to bear him
testimony tothe truth of the assertion, that in no case
whatever will it fail to cure, ii the directions are strict
ly followed and ca ried out.. Iu a great many cases a
singie dose has Been sufficient for a care, and whole
families have been cured by a single bottle, w ith a per
fect restoration of the general health. It is, however,
prudent, arid in every case more certain to cure, if its
use is con’lnued in smaller doses for a week or two af
ter the disease has been checked, more especially in
difficult and long standing cases. Usually, this medi
cine will not require any aid to keep the bowels in
good order; should thp patient, however, require a
cathartic medicine, after having taken three or four
doses of the Tonic, a single dose of BULL’6 VEGETA
BLE EAM’LY PII.LB will be sufficient.

pretty large country practice, and have daily use for
some article of the kind. lam free to confess that I
know of no remedy recommended by the ablest authors
that is so certain and speedy in its effects. On the con

in writing you is to find out upon what terms I can
get the medicine directly from you. If I can get it
upon easy terms, I shall use a great deal of it, lam
aware that the use of such articles is contrary to the
teachings and practice of a great majority of the reg
ular line of M. D.’s, but I see no just cause or good
sense in discarding a remedy which we know to be ef
ficient, simply because we may be ignorant of its com
bination. For my part, I shall make it a rule to use all
and any means to alleviate suffering humanity which
I may be able to command— not hesitating because
someone more Ingenious than myself may have leirn

P. S.— The following was written April 89,1865, by
Mrs. Jennie Johnson, mother of Capt Johnson.
DR. BULL—Dear Sir: My husband, Dr. 0. S. John

New York, where he died, leaving the above C. r.

a chronic diarrhoea and scrofula, for which I gave
him your Sarsaparilla. IT CURED HIM. I have for

Fresh,- pure air is a vitalizing elixir.—
Whoever is debarred by circumstances from
unrestricted access to this invisible, but
powerful stimulant, needs a medicinal invig
orant of some kind. The great object should
he to choose tliebest, Popularity is a predtv
good guarantee of merit in this 'sarutinitJV
and intelligent age. and tried by this cAX*-
rion Hostel tor's Stomach Bitters stands first
among the invigorating and regulating med
icines of the present. day. To the wants of
persons engaged in indoor employments,
especially in crowded factories where even
with the best possible ventilation the atmos
phere is always in some degree polluted, this
salubrious vegetable tome is peculiarly
adapted. The nature of the ingredients is
no mystery. It consists of an absolutely pure
diffusive stimulant, tinctured—or rather
surcharged--with the fluid extracts of sana
tious roots and barks and herbs.
The pharmacopoeia has its tinctures, but
what are they ? The juice of only a ’sil<?e
root or bark or plant, is present, in each. Not
one of them combines the three, properties of
a tonic, an alterative, and an aperient. AU
these elements are blended in the Bitters;
nor are these the sum of its medicinal recom
mendations. It is also a blood depurent anu
an antispasmodic,
The baleful effect which air that lias been
partially exhausted of its oxygen by frequent
breathing it. produces on the vital organiza
tion, is notorious, and when to this devital
ized atmosphere is superadded the mephitic
vapor of hot air furnaces, it becomes delete
rious and depressing in the extreme. To
enable the system to bear up, even for a few
hours each day against the debilitating in
fluence of a vitiated atmosphere, a wholesome
tonic and alterative is urgently required.
This grand disideratum is supplied in llos
tetter s Bitters, which as a strength-sustain
ing* health-protecting agent has no rival
either among officinal or advertised medi
cines.

have long thought that Messrs. Mc-

be found in the city of Atlanta. One
almost imagines himself in a fairy pal

which gives such an air of beauty
to the place. But attractive as is the
stock, the propietors would prefer to

ing the confidence of the people, and the
numerous testimonials of its virtues, given
by practioners of medicine, leaves no doubt
that it is a safe and reliable remedy for im
purity OF THE BLOOD, LIVER DISEASES, &C.
The last Medical Journal contains an arti

York, that speaks in high terms of its cura

medicine. This is, we believe, the first in
stance where such medicines have been of
ficially endorsed by the Faculty of any of
the medical colleges, and reflects great cred
it upon the skill of Br. Lawrence, its com

Ti ls will certify that two members of my immediate
family, after having suffered for many years from
menatrual irregularity, and have been treated without
benefit by various medical doctors, were, at length,
completely cured by one bottle of Dr, J. Bradfield'a

attention of suffering woman-kind to the merits of a

We all know that the promiscuous vacci

became infected alike. Men, women and
children throughout all the West are most
wofully diseased from this cause, and knew
not, until a few months ago, the origin of it.
