We, the undersigned committee ap
pointed to draft resolutions of sympa
thy on the death of Miss Emma Sims,
sister of our esteemed brother, Vice-
Councilor John Sims, beg to submit the
following:
Whereas God, in His infinite wisdom
and tender mercy, has seen fit to re
move from this world of sin and pain
to a brighter home beyond the grave
the spirit of his dear sister, we feel
that the parents have lost an obedient
daughter, and the brothers a kind and
loving sister and the community a good
Christian woman who numbered her
friends by her acquaintances.
Therefore, be it resolved, That we
bow our heads in humble submission to
the will of the Grand Councilor above
who doeth all things well, and that we
comfort our brother with the assurance
that all is well with his sister.
Be it further resolved, That we ex
tend our deepest sympathy to our broth
er in his hour of grief.
Be it further resolved; That a copy
of these resolutions be spread on our

What does the Work?
T HE cleaning power of all soaps and cleans
ers is lye. Soap is nothing more than grease
and water and lye, sometimes perfumed.
You can make your own soap at a great saving,
out of Red Seal Lye. Simply mix it with grease
and water according to directions.
_Red Seal Lye is the very best lye your money
can buy. It is pure lye, granu-
lated, and packed in cans that are
jN easy and convenient to use. To
ZZjglMgja use it by itself for cleaning
floors, woodwork, dishes, clothes,
simply dissolve it in water and
use the water as a cleanser. Red
Seal Lye, sifted into the sink, ab
solutely cleaas out the pipes and
prevents them from clogging up.
It softens water—saves soap—
and is a wonderful disinfectant.
Always ask your storekeeper for,
and be sure to get, the old reliable
