Capt. T. C. Thompson, of Chatta-
was with his Dalton friends
at a delightful bridge luncheon last
Wednesday morning at her home on
Selvidge street, her guests being the
members of her card club.
Three tables were arranged for the
game, Mrs. W. E. Mann making top
score and being awarded first prize,
an incense burner. The consolation,
Mary Garden face powder, was cut by
Mrs. W. M. Hardwick.
After the interesting game, a de
licious luncheon was served at the
small tables.

not drink coffee or tea.

companied by her sister, Miss Glennie
Watkins.

Presbyterian church met Tuesday
afternoon at 3 o’clock, fifty-one menj-
ber attending.
After the devotional, led by Miss
Rose Huff and Mrs. R. M. Herron,
a business session was.held and plans
for the New Year’s social discussed.
Following the Meeting delicious re
freshments were served and a delight
ful social hour enjoyed. Members of
Circle A were hostesses at this quar
terly meeting.

The Mission League of the First
Methodist church will ’have a home
made candy sale starting at 2:30
o’clock next Tuesday afternoon at

be 80 cents per pound. The public is

flowers were a corsage of bride’s roses

Mrs. Smith, the attractive daughter
at Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Mills, of College
Park, is a graduate of Cox College.
Her lovable disposition and pleasing
personality have endeared her to a

building, and the Dalton dub women
found the organization, under the ca
pable direction of Mrs. R. L. Franklin,
president, a splendid, wide-awake,
progressive dub. They were assured
that the club would send a good dele
gation to the district meeting, which
will be held here in the spring.
In addition to the Dalton women,
special guests were present from Cal
houn and Cartersville.

Mrs. Crawford’s Bridge Luncheon.
Mrs. John A. Crawford was hostess
Mrs. Martin Honor Guest.
The San Souci dub, of Adairsville,
entertained Wednesday of last week, in
compliment to Mrs. W. C. Martin, of
this city, president of the Seventh Dis-
trist Federation of Women’s clubs. In
addition to Mrs. Martin, Misses Willie
White and Elizabeth Denton, of this
dty, were guests.
The affair was in the attractive club-
rooms of the dub at Adairsville, and
was a~progressive dinner, called “The
Feast of Seven Tables.” Each table
was artistically decorated, the first
being in white, the second in red, and
then, pink, green, russet, silver and.
