Our city is assuming a progress in ap
pearance. Mr. J. F. Zimmerman is re
building his large store house in front
of our office, which was consumed by
fire last year.
John Dunn, Fsd., lias a neat brick
store in process of erection, which, when
completed will be an ornament to Broad
Streets
Every store in the city will be occus
pied this winter, and several applicants
who desired merchandizing are disap
pointed for the want of store houses.
Change.—The Agency for the South
ern Express Company has again been
conferred on our worthy friend, Mr.
Zimmerman. Mr. E. T. Casliin, the
fmmer agent will continue among us ns

has been removed to the depot.

circulation in this county that the Herald
