T HE countenance is pale and 'eadcn-
colorcd, with occasional flushes, or a ciY-
cumscribed spot on one or both cheeks; the'
eyes become dull; the pupils dilate; «n
azure semicircle runs along the ldwcr eye
lid; the qosc is irritated, swells, and some-'
times bleeds; a swelling of the upper lip;
occasional headache, with humming or
throbbing of the cars; an unusual secretion
of saliva; slimy or furred tongue; breath ;•

knawing sensation of the stomach, at others,
