Old Ephraim Hayden, an old man bent with years,

Alderman Me Juffie signed the majority report be-

any—when his people wanted crossings he took them a
dump load of sand.
1 Alderman Goldsmith said resolutions for crossings
bad been aa thick as hail. Alderman Boring had asked
for no crossings. Certain Councilman had got cross
ings enough and now the cry was “no more rock
| work.” Other people might wade mud. Crossings
were needed in many places; he thought the Council

off or running into excess.
His Honor ruled the whole matter out of order, the
resolution not being properly signed.
