Awusing Trick of Messengers.
The stamp trick is a very common
one with messenzers because of the
amount of amuserment derived from it.
It consists in sticking a new stamp on
a step or some prominent place, and
watching the various attempts of
passers-by to pick it up, which, of
course, are unsuccessful.—London
