Griswold’s Improved Cotton Gins.
rpilE subscriber will continue the manufacture of
I Gins on his usual extensive scale, and embraces
this, opportunity to thank his numerous customers for
their fits'ral patronage heretofore. The estimation in
which life Gms are held, may be known from the fact
of his having sold more than two thousand during the j
last three years—probably ten to one over any other i
Factory in the State. Tnis evidence of the superiority i
of liis Gins, is accounted for by bis being the lirst to in- j
troduce the late improvements. and keeping the lead |
by yearly adding new ones. 11 is first and second im- I
provernents made the quality of cotton perfect, though \
some w**re rather slow. His third made them sulii- |
ciently fast It then only remained to make them more j
durable and convenient, which lias been done lie be- j
lieves effectually, by several new improvements the pre-1
sent year: besides, he has the exclusive right for the
State, with the privilege of other sections, to furnish }
Reid's Patent Water Boxes, which are believed to he ‘
ten times more durable than any other, by those who j
have mode a fair trial of them ; and are infallibly se- !
cure against lire by friction. Ills fine Gins will gin j
Mastodon Cotton as well as any Saw Gin can. His
agents will visit planters generally, and exhibit speci
mens of his late improvements, and point out their ad
vantages in time for all to engage and be supplied be- j
fore the next ginning season, or engagements call be

Railroad most convenient to the purchaser. All war

It has long h< en a disiderutum m medicine to have
a remedy that would cure promptly the numerous eases
of Ring •’ ori.t-s, Tetteis, Sc dd-Heads, *Ac., that Phy
sicians are to ol ten called in to prescribe t.,i. To a
very greatextent this has lK*en accomplished, for here
is an application, (Ringworm and Tetter Ointment.)
that very lately fails to cure any case ; and for the or- (
dinaty blate < ih. s,* affection* a lew tunes applied is
suffu ienl to eradicate it.
Dr Little:—Sir, lam happy to itifoim you that
your Ringworm und fetter Ointment which I have pic
tured from you, has cured an obstinate Tetter of 15
ycais standing, niter having used a grent variety of ap
plications without success. There is iso mistake about
my case being one of the worst of the kind ; and it has
been entirely cured now for many months.

*1 a disease common, winch is not only a
source of much annoyance, hut frequently •
the loss of health with many individuals.
Sedentary habits and the use of rich food |
are ever predisposing causes of the ihsease; |
and hence the necessity of avoiding such habits in its
cure. It is in vain to attempt to cure it permanently,!
wmhout an internal as well as mi external remedy. The
internal remedy diveits the hu bus and tendency of the ;
system from that state by winch Piles is produced,
whilst the external one is highly necessary to promote
absorption, the means hy which the cure is affected—
Constipation ot the bowels is alw'ays connected with
this affection, agg’ avat.ng the symptoms more or less.
11l view of these facts known to the medical proles- ;
sion as they are, l have n remedy in the form of oint- i
ment and pills, that 1 have been long in the habit of
prescribing with admirable success—even in old and |
indurated cases, for which almost every Doctor in the
land has in some way prescribed for, will they effect a
cure or otherwise prove invaluable, hy perseverance
and attention.
