IS every town, village, or neighborhood of the South
individuals runv he found, who, it is believed are nl
tlicted with Liver complaint; hut who ready labor un- |
d*r a very different disease. The common symptoms of
Liver o(lections are pain and tenderness in the right
side, rough skin wiih a yellow or bilious hue, pains in
the shoulders and frequently in the collar hones, togeth
er with more or lean disorder ot the digestive organ* —
Out ol this number not more than nine-tenths hove any
ol these disturbances, except those ol indigestion, which
may and do exist w ith a healthy state ol the Liver, ihe
error ol the age is then, that it is Dyspepsia or indiges- ,
ti *n that constitute this n inerous clnra and not Liver
affections, os is commonly termed, To prove that this
i-a correctvi< w. let any pbyticiift< fexperienceinves
tigate well, and he will lind not more than one in every
dozen cases have leaily any disease ot the Liver at all.
Besides this, nearly every case will at once begin to im
prove, by tin* use of the proper remedies, or those com
bined upon scientific principles for the cure of indiges
tion.
In conformity to these view s, and strictly within the
limits of Kcieniitic inediciiies, have the Tonic Bitters,
Vegetable Pills and Ant ci i been utepnred, for the cure
ot Dyspepsia in all its complicated forms. The Bitters
are quite pleasant and gently stimulating, that are to be
taken two or three times a day, the Antacid at meal
times, and the Pills, (which an* tonic and laxative,) at
night. By thus using the medicines daily, the most
wretched case of Dyspepsia in all the country will at
once begin to improve , not only ol that tightness and
oppression after eating or the eructation of lond, but the
powers of digestion strengthened, and a regular action
of the bowels maintained. Notwithstanding the Inn
gourand wretchedness of feeling during the hours of di
gestion is removed—yet the medicines must be continu
ed regularly with proper attention to diet, until every
vestige of the disease ia eradicated. Invalids however
feeble or delicate can-use them with the utmost advan
tage, ns they never nauseate the stomach or disturb the
ht>wv,H uioie than a intid aperient.

GRAB FES BERG MEDICINES.
The undersigned is fully prepared to establish a Graef
eu'harg Depot in nil places ot proper size in S. Caroiina
and Georgia. Immediate application should be made,
personally or by letter, to George Brainerd, Agent,
care of Nelson Carter, opposite Charleston Hotel. As
there will ordinarily be but one Depot in a town or vil
lage, the agency will be very valuable.
‘The celebrated Medicines of the Graefenberg Compa
ny are rapidly and completely superseding all others.—
Where once introduced, no one thinks of using any
others. Their character is best explai: ed by the tact that
Thirty Thousand Boxes of their Tills alone are sold
each and every week.
Certificates upon certificates front all parts of the coun
try are constantly received, testifying to their wonder
ful powers. ’I heir efficacy is almost immediately felt,
as that a single box will show the invalid whether they
are or are not doing him good. The sick should at once
abandon nil * ther nied ernes & give these pills a fair trial.
‘Theoperations of the company throughout the world
are of unprecedented magnitude, the high and command
ing character of which has received the unqualified ap
probation of distinguished Clergymen, Jurists, Philan
thropists, and the public generally. The Patent Med
icine business is assuming an entirely new position
through the < Iraetenberg Company. Almost every fam
ily in the land has occasion to use some kind ot patent
medicine, and an organization like that of this compa
ny is of para mount public importance. By this means,
reliable medicines may be had.
The leading article to which public attention is invit
ed is the Grae fenberg Vegetable Tills. The following
complaints yield with certainty to their power:
Asthma, Green Sickness,
Bilious Complaints, Bowels Gripes, Heartburn,
—deficient action in, Headache, Hysterics,
Catarrh, Constipation, Incontinence of Urine,
Cough of Pregnancy, Indigestion, Jaundice,
