THE DRIGGS PIANO
(; uossiTy . 1 :si;n ti:i >.
Wi; have tie* best evidence for believing that certain
dealers in Mac in have said that they have refused the
Agency tor the sale of the liriggs Pianos, that they were
such poor things that they would have nothing to do with
them, or words to that import. We have written to Messrs.
Wm. Hall ft Son, general Agents for the Driggs Pianos, on
the subject, and have received the following answer :
J Nkw Yokk, Tth April, T 460.
“We have never, directly or indirectly, offered the Driggs
Pianos to any other person in your city, nor have we, as far
as we can recollect, had any comwuwi--* 1 — **ttn anyotner
dottier and whoever iit represented differently has done
so maliciously, and is guilty of a gross fal-ehood.
WM. HALL ft SON.”
We say the same of the man who said that he could buy
the Drigg* Pianos for |2OO and then make on them, nr
that they will not do; that they will not last—that the people
at the North will have nothing to do with them—that they
are put at the Auction rooms for sale, and all that sort of
stuff. Nearly all the Teachers are interested in the sale of
other Pianos, and speak against the Driggs, and it is sur
prising that they should, as there is but one authorised Agent
In Georgia, especially those who do not speak the English
lancuage quite plain. W, are willing that those who have
bought these Pianos should decide whether they are what
represented.
The following person* have purchased the Driggs Pianos :
Prof. I. K. Branham, Mr. P. G. Guttenberger, Professor of
Music in the W. F. College, Mr. J. H. K. Washington, of the
State Bank, ami Mr. G. W. Roes, also the Asylum for the
Blind, all of Macon; Col. John L. Rowland, Cartersville;
Dr. Mathews, Fort Valley; l)r. Hillings, Columbus, Mr. D.
Gamraage, Marshalvitle; Mr. R. R. Davis, Dawson, and Prof.
W. J. Northen, Mt. Zion.
We intend one or more of ihese Pianos shall he seen and
heard in all the principal towns in the State. We have to
do this in self defence.
All communications should be addressed to
