take place by Regiments and Battalions, at tbe respective

In the county of Oglethorpe, on Saturday 9tb April.
In the couuty of Greene, on Tuesday and Wednesday,

Tbe officers and non-commissioned officers of the sev
eral Regiments and Battalions composing this Division
will be assembled on the respective days previous to the
Review and Inspection of their respective Regiments and
Battalions, for instruction and drill.
The commanding Geueral especially enjoins upon tbe
Generals of Brigade, and all officers uuutr them, a strict
obedience to orders, and expects that they will personally
attend to the execution of their orders. Tbe observance
of strict discipline and subordination will be requircJ, aad
all infractions noticed and punished.

Georgia, embracing ail the Lands within the chartered
limits.
AT ISSUED last year Proposal* for publishing a new
JL Map of our Staie, but after mat«rc reflection, I was
induced to decline it UU lb* Chfirok** country should be *
acquired and Surveyed. A* « IBLI for surveying the
Cherokee lands is now before the Legislature, and which
has passed into a law, I now present new proposals to
the public, feeling the utmost confidence in its liberal and
efficient patronage. The aixe of the >i«p will be tbe
same as that published by my frther, which I think suffi
ciently large for a full aud distinct representation. The
style of engraving shall be equal to that of tbe best en
graved Map of any of oar sister states, and every object
that ought to belaid down, and which is usually repre*
sented on State-Maps, will be delineated with mathemati
cal precision & accuracy. They will be neatly varnished,
canvassed, colored and attached to Rollers. To suit pur
chasers, a suitable number uf them will be enclosed in
richly ornamented covers. To assist me in meeting tbe
expenses of engraving and other incidental esptuses,
which will unavoidably occur while preparing the original
for the hands of the Engraver, I solicit those who sub
scribe to advance what they can with convenience. Those
who may be disposed to advance four dollars, will recur e-
it without additional charge. The cost to those who ad
vance two dollars, will be Jive dollars; and to those who
subscribe aud may not choose to advance, six dollars to be
paid down on the delivery uf the Maps' The selling price
to those who do not become subscribers, will be &7 per
copy. Those individuals who jnay please io extend their
hberaJ aid by making an advance, will receive the Maps
at a lower price, and shall be entitled to tbe first copies
.h.it are struck. No expense or labor nil! be spared to
render it very accurate and worthy of a liberal and ex>
tended patronage. Tbe Maps will be delivered to sub
scribers and others, within six mouths after the Report?
of the District Surveyors are received and filed in tbe Sur
veyor -GcueraPs Office. If the work can be brought out
carlur by the Eograver it will be done; but 1 am not wil
ling to promise them before the time mentioned. I de
sign to commence my Map of the State soon after tb*
rising of the present Legislature, and will complete tbe
representation of all tbe Territory of our State, with the
exception of the Cherokee country; and a* eo^n as tl.o
Surveyors shall survey it and make their official report, 1
will finish the Map and place it in the bqnds of the En
graver.
I will also publish a Plan of tbe Cherokee Lands sepa
rately, representing the counties, districts, square* and
fractions, compiled from official surveys. The price of
this to subscribers will be three dollars, und if they will
advance one dollar, they shall be entitled to receive it on
payment of an additional dollar. To ncu-subacribers, it
will be sold at four dollars. This will appear about
four months after the survey is made. The engraving of
this will be neat and plain. I assure the public that the
Maps will be prepared at the time mentioned, and that
expectation will not be disappointed.

fond of spirits, but submissive even when intoxicated.—
On two or three of his fingers (on his right hand is believ
ed,) there are scar* caused by a cut from the saws of a
cotton gin. He wore away a black wool hat with a round
crown, a short cost made of white materials, a pair coarse
home-made shoes, had with him a osir ofjuues pantaloons
made of cotton, and a black silk vest considerably worn.
