CERTIFICATES.
Dr J G Gibson, .Sir—I have been afflicted with Rheu-
matism f.r the last three or (our years, which, though
slight at first, continued to increase upon me, until it be
came exceedingly Iroiihlesuine, and causing when it en
tered into the back of the head, the most dreadful and an
noying pain:
It was suggestsd to me on one occasion, by a friend,
that if I desired to he cured tif Rheumatism, I would most
probably find a cure for it in yotir powders. Though I
had hut liltle faith in their efficacy. I concluded I would
give them a fair trial Ididso, and conirarv toallex-
pectation, I had taken hut few of them when I ceased tu
feel ant inure pain, and I have been freed from all Rheu
matic symptoms up to the present.
Believing your powders invaluable, ami having no
doubt of their efficacy to cure Ithought it my duty logive
you this testimony in their favor
Respectfully, &c..
JAS. W. MAPPIN.
Eatonton, Ga., April 5tli, 1855.
Dr. J. G. Gibson, Eatonton, Ga:
Dear Sir— 1 cannot refrain from an expression to you
of the great estimate I plare upon your invaluable reme
dy for Rheumatism. 1 have used it in my family with
the most satisfactory results, and would recommend it lo
any person who may be afflicted with this most annoy
ing disease.
1 tried i> on ail old negro woman some fifty-five or sil
ly years of age, who has been severely afflicted for thir
ty years or more, for aught 1 know, and frequently she
has been rendered helpless hy the most excruciating pain,
laying up from two to four weeks at a time. Anxious lo
relieve her, 1 have tried the mosl of the remedies in use
for Rheumatism, hot alwnvs with unsatisfactory results.
She still complained, and her fingers had become stiffen
ed and partially drawn togel her. When 1 heard of your
remedy, and es|ieciallv of the astonishing cure.- it was
effecting. 1 determined to try it on this old woman. She
commenced taking the powders according to yourdtrec-
tions, and in a few dajs sheexpcrier.crd the most grati
fying results. Hut as her general health was feeble, and
finding her some what feverish, I determined by your ad
vice, to discontinue the powders for a ft w days. As soon
as I found her clear offever I commences! the powders
again, and afier taking them three days, astonishing to
tell, shesaid she was entirely clear of pain. And when
I enquired more particularly of her condition, she ihrtisl
out her hands, with her fingers slraigkl aud nimble, say
ing that she had not been so c lear of pain for years, “and
she felt like a right young gal.” .She has tint complain
ed of Rheimiatism since, and 1 hope the faithful old ser
vant may never suffer pain again.
I cheerfully bear you ibis testimony, nml hope that
you w ill lose no lime in publishing yotir remedy to the
world, as a safe und certain cure for Rheumatism
Most respectfully yours,
B. F. ADAMS.
Eatonton, April 4th, 1855,
I do hereby certify, that after suffering for thirty three
ypars, with the most excncialing pain from Chronic
Rheumatism, and finding no iiermunent relief from any
ot ihe many prescriptions given me hy different physi
cians, I am now entirely well, not only of Rheumatism
itself, lit] I likewise of its effects. This cure was effected
by a preparation styled (,inch's Anti-Rheumatic Puw
ders. Of these powders I took two dozen, and have not
hail any symptoms of n«y old pains for three years. The
effect upon me was like magic. Within three days after
I had taken the first powder, my pains disappeared, and
1 have been entirely clear of them tip to Ihe preseti'
time.
Tuall suffering from Rheumatism I do heartily- recom
mend these powders; confidently believing that you
have only lo give them a trial lo secure a lasting cure.
Most Respectful lv,
JOHN LINCH.
Eatonton, April 24, 1855.
I have no hesitation in saying, that after having suf
fered for upward of thirty ypars of Rheumatism in the
ino«l dreadful form—first in my foes, then my thumbs,
wrists and knees, and lastly, most excruciatingly, in my
neck, 1 look two or 3 dozen of l.utcU's Ami-Rheumat
ic powders, and notwithstanding I am old and my consli-
union much shattered, I have received the greatest ben
efit from them imaginable, my relief from suffering and
pain, I cannot attribute to any ihing hut the pow ders, for
I have tried everything ill vain, that friends could sug
gest or physicians prescribe I would, therefore, earn-
rally ret ommeml them to ever sufferer of this dreaded
disease, let hint he old nr young.
Yours respectfully,
ROBT. MYRICK.
Eatonton, April 2d, 1855.
I am happy to state, for the benefit of those who are
afflicted with Rheumatism, that a perfect core has been
effected in the person of a negro man of mine, hy Linch's

fered wiih it incessantly tor upwards of twenty years,
lost at least one third of the time until he took the above
powders. Since which time, now nearly two years, he
iias been a valuableanii constant field band, never hav
ing suffered with Rheumatism lo the best of my knowl

thus afflicted.

Dear Sir: I led it a doty I owe to the public, totnaka
known the value of Davis’ Pain Killer, and my eiperi-
ettee in using it for aome of Ihe eumplainla for which it
is highly recommended. In April last,on yonr recent-
metidalion, I purchased t* #1 bottle of you for pains with
which I have long been afflicted, and made use of it on
my trip down to New Orleans, with the most gratifying
anil henrfirial effects. On mv return trip to this city, the
Cholera made its appearance among some of my passen
gers. 1 made use of the Pain Killer, having no other
remedy on hoard, and to my surprise and gralificstion
found ttgave immediate relief! On my arrival in Si l.om«
I ended on yon and g"t 4 large hotllps, and staled to yon
my confidence in it ns an infallible Cholera rcmedy.arai
remarking lo yon that I wanted no other Cholera reme
dy on m\ boat, 1 made use of the 4 bottles on my trip to
New Orleans and hark, for Cholera and some other
complaints for which it ts recommended, am! met with
the moral astonishing success—when I ordered froaiysti
6 more dollar hollies. Njnce then 1 have made 2 more
trips to New Orleans nnd baek, and on my previous trip
up, I had more than 9ev oly Case, ml ChulelB, vii
■hoard, when the PAIN KILLER was nnmediaiely uesi
with the most astonishing results In all rases whetstt
was used in lime, it gave relief in a very short timr; «m
I ran w :lh ronfidenee say to tlie public, that in all ol thi’
first stages of Cholera, when taken inlime.it is inmF
opinion, an infallible remedy! And after o fair trial
with if for several weeks and for funr trips to New Or
leans nnd hark, and using it for Cholera nnd for(rther
complaints for which it is recommended, no eotisidris-
tion whatever would indttre me to leave port ****"JjL*
good supply—believing it to be a ineditune tbatnoeffi-

day after using one bottle. Believing it to he thenna*
