vous, Rheumatic, anil Neuralgic Affecyons, it has in
numerous instances proved highly beneficial, and in
others effected a decided cure.
This is a purely vegetable compound, prepared on
strictly scientific principles, after the manner of the cel
ebrated Holland Professor, lloerhave. Because of its
f ront success in most of tlie European States, its intro-
uction into the United States was intended more es
pecially for those of our fatherland scattered here and
there over the face of this mighty country. Meeting
with great success among them, I now offer it to the
American public, knowing that its truly wonderful medi-
innl virtues must be acknowledged.
It is particularly recommended to those persons whose
constitutions may have been impaired by the continu
ous nse of ardent spirits, or other forms of dissipation.
Generally instantaneous in effect, it finds its way-direct
ly to tlie seat of life, thrilling and quickening every
lerve, raising up the drooping spirit, nnd, in fact, infus-
ng new health and vigor in the system.
NOTICE—Whoever expects to find this a beverage
will be disappointed; but to the sick, weak and low
spirited, it will prove a grateful aromatic cordial, pos
sessed of singular remedial properties,
CAUTION.
The great popularity of this delightful Aroma has in
duced many imitations, which the public should guard [
against purchasing. Be not pursuaded to buy any- ;
thing else until you have given Bm rhave’s Unhand
Bitters a fair trial. One bottle will convince you how
infinitely superior it is to nil these imitations.

Subjoined are the statements from dome eminent phy-iciani,
of their effects iu their practice.
As a Famii.y Ptrvsic.
From Dr. E. W. Carttrright, Orleans.
“Your Pills are the prince of purges. Their excellent qual
ities surpass any cathartic wo They are mild, but verj
certain aud effectual in their action on the ImwoN. which makes
them invaluable to ua in the daily trenttm ut »«f disease.”
Foh Jaundice and all Liyp.ii Complaints.
From Dr. Thmlorr DcU, qf .V.-,r York O*r.
u Not only are your Fills admirably adapted to their pur]*'**
as an aperient, but I find their l«enefl**ial off N up n the
Liver very marked indeed. They have in my practice proved
more effectual for the cure of biUoM eomj-Juintj than anyone
remedy I can mention. I sincerely rej u. that uv li tre ;d
length a purgative which is worthy the confidence of the pro
fession and the people.”
Dyspepsia — Indigestion.
From Dr. Jfcnry J. Uttar, of St. Lott •».
“The Pills you were kind enough tt* send nu* have been nil
used in my practice, aud have satisfied me that they are truly
an extraordinary medicine. So peculiarly aiv they a<iapfi*l f*>
the disease* of the huni»n system, th tt they seem to work u.;- a
them alone. I have cored some ones of and inth-
gtstion with them, which had resisted the ofle r remedies we
commonly use. Indeed I have experimentally f mad then to
be effectual in almost ali the complaints for whi-h you recom
mend them.”
Dysentery — Diarrhcea — Relax.
From Dr. J. G. Green, of Chicago.
“ Your Pills have had a long trial in my practice, nnd I hold
them in esteem as one of tlie bet-t aperients 1 have ever found.
Their alterative effect u]»on the liver makes them an excellent
remedy, when given iu small doses, for bilious rfysnidery and
diarrheta. Their sugar-coating makes them very acceptable
and convenient for the nse of women and children.**
Internal Obstruction —Worms — Suppression.
From Jfr*. E. Stuart, who practices a? a Physician awl Muhrife in
Boston.
“I find one or two large doses of your Pills, taken at tho
proper time, are excellent promotives of tlie natural secrete n
when wholly or partially suppressed, aud also very effectual to
cleanse the stomach ami expel worms. They are so mu li the
best physic wo have that I recommend no other to my patients.”
Constipation — Costiyeness.
From Dr. J. P. Vaughn, Montreal. Canada.
“Xoo much cannot he said of your Pills for the cure of cgJ-
tiveness. If others of our fraternity have found th rt m as
efficacious as T have, they should join me in prn**!r.iminx i* f»r
the benefit of the multitude* who suffer from tint complaint,
which, although bad enough iu its«df, is th** progenitor of etiieis
that are worse. I believe costirmrss to originate in the liver,
but your Pills affect that organ aud cure the Jta-a*e. ,r
Impurities of the Blood — Scrofula — Krysip-
elas — Salt Rheum — Tetter — Tumors —
Rheumatism — Gout — Neuraloja.
From .Or. Ezekiel Hall, PhiUuh Iphia.
“You were right, Ewtor. in raying that your Pills Tariff tut
blood. They do that- I have used them of late years in my
practice, ami agree with your statements of their ellirary. Th« y
stimulate the excre-ories, and carry off the impurities that
stagnate in the blood, engendering disease. They stimulate
tbe organs of digestion, and infuse vitality and vig**r into tho
system.
“ Such remedies as you prepare are a national benefit, and you
deserve great credit for them.”
Fob Headache — Sick Headache—Foi l Stomach
— Pile-s — Dropsy — Plethora—Paralysis —
Fits — &c.
From Dr. Edward P.o*rd, Baltimore.
“Dear Bn. Aver: I cannot answer you vfial complaints I
have cured with your 1TLL8 letter than to say all that tec ever
treat with a purgatire nvihciw. I pl;«<v great dependence on
an effectual cathartic in my daily contest with disease, and be
lieving as I do that your Pills afford us the best we have, I of
course value them highly.”
Kg- Most of the Pills in market contain Mercury, which, al
though a valuable remedy in skilful hands, is dangerous in a
public pill, from the dreadful couae^ucuces that frequently
follow its incautious use. These con tain no mercury or mineral
substance whatever.

reliance of the afflicted, from tho log caliii of ibe Am*-:iesn
peasant to the palaces of European king-. Throughout this
entire country, in overy state and city, and indeed almost v^ rj
hamlet it contains, Ciiekky PtcroRAL is known as the best 0
all remedies for diseases of the throat and lungs. In n^nJ
foreign countries it is extensively used bv their most Intel.ig*®
physicians. If there is any dependence on what men of ‘-very
station certify it has done for them : if we cau trust our o
senses when we see the dangerous affections of th.* lung 5
to it; if weeffn depend ou the assurance of intelligent W**
dams whose business Is to know; in *hort. if there is a«y
reliance apou any thing, then is it irrefutably proven that
medicine does cure the class of diseases it is dcrigned for. wyou«
any ami all other remedies known to mankind. Nothing
its intrinsic \irtnes, and the unmistakable benefit conferred on
thousands of sufferers, could <»riginHte aud maintain the rep

the afflicted they can never forget, and produced cures too nu
merous and remarkable to be forgotten.
