TT appearing to the Court by the petition of
A Jasper Loyd, eheweth that Thomas Loyd of
Floyd county deceased, did, in his lifetime, ex
ecute to said Jasper Loyd his bond for titles to
half of Lot of Land (North half) number one
hundred and eighty-two. (182) in the 22d Dis
trict and 3d Section, of originally Cherokee,
new Floyd county, containing eighty acres
wore or less, conditioned to he void by his ma
king a deed in fee simple to mid half Lot; and
It timber appearing that said deceased died
without executing a deed or making any pro
visions therefor by will or otherwise; and it
timber appearing that said Jasper Loid has,
~ 'ly paid the purchase price, and having peri
nea this Court to direct George W. and Thoa.
N- Loyd, Executors of said deceased, to execute
titles in conformity with mid bond.
Die therefore ordered that notice be given at
three orjhojt public places in said county and
in the Romo Courier at least three months of
such application, that all persons concerned
may file their objections (if any they have) in
the Ordinary's office- why said George W. and
Thomas N. Loyd, Executom as aforesaid, should
not cxecote titles in conformity with said Bond.

the services of David W. Seay, as Principal of

Mr. Seay is a vonr g man of high moral and
religions character and qualifications; being a
graduate of Emory College, with one year’s e t-
perience in teaching.
The.Scholastic year will be divided into two
Sessions of five : months esch ; the first to com

HEARN'SCHOOL.
T HE next Academic year will commence on
Monday, the 8th of January, 1S55. The
course of instruction embraces the whole range
of a thorough and substantial education, or
yonng men are fitted for any stage of their Col
legiate course.
The exercises of this Institution were una
voidably suspended a few weeks before foe
close of the last session from the, illness of the
gentleman having the care pro. tem. Tho
Principal has availed himself of foe opportn
nity offered by a five months tonr in foe Eastern
and Middle States, to visit their Schools and
Colleges—examining apparatus, new text books,
and foe most approved methods of teaching.
He hopes to be able, during the 'ensuing year,
to increase the advantages afforded by the in
stitution under his care, and with feelings of
gratitude to his friends and the public for the
liberal patronage of the past seventeen years,
he assures them that Lis absence and rest from
his scholastic duties has prepared him to return
to those duties with renewed seal and vigor.
