TO CAPITALISTS.
A VERY superior Steam Saw Mill has been
recently erected in the viciqi y of the
CITY OT? D.mVEeV,
the most eligible titration for a busmem of
the kind on the Atlantic shore* of the United
States. Possessing til the sdvnntsgesuf in in-
exhstist ble supply of the finest yellow Pilch
Pine snd Cypress Timber, buLt on nflne bluff,
with thirteen feet wsi«rclosetait, aiul a natural
cove for the reception of logs.
The present owners not htving it in their
power to bestowthol attention to it which*
concern of such magnitude requires, are desir
ous of rettmf tbe ivAafe, or a part ot their inter
est in it, and new offer it Jor sa/e si a very low
valuation, snd much lem than such a ttmeture
could be completed for.
There has just been added to it s very supe
rior Jiice Pounding Machine, capable of dis
charging at least 50 tierces of clesn rice pet
day; and a Corn-Mill, all set ia motion by the
tame engine.
The Saw-Mill is upofr s new principle, by
the late renowned Civil Engineer, Mr. HEN
N1E of London, who fent out one of his best
workmen to superintend its erection. It ear.
now cut with 48 saws, end may be made to drive
twke that number.
The Steam Engine la perhaps the best In
rite United States, made by Messrs. BOLTON
U WATT, of fiolio, near Brmingbain; and
erected under the inspection of their best fore
man, sent out etpresaly for that purpose.
A wonderful expence is saved in fuel, as the
saw-dual from the p\)ch-pine is found to unswer
instead of fire-wood, snd is c;irried to th«-
mouth of the furnace from the pit by elevator*
now in use.
The Rice Machine is also on a new principle
and found by experience to answer better than
any yet in use. The quickness and regularity
of the movement, producing it of ssupertoi
brightness without breaking the grain.
The mill is situated on a fine Creek, called
Cat-Head, on a branch of the Altarpah* River,
and only about half a mile from Dirfien.
Sea Vessels, w hose draught of water enables
them to go to the wharf at Darien, can load st
the Mill, only a short distance off, with greet
facility; as an enclined plane from the mill, will
enable them m receive the lumber into their
bow ports, almost without expence: ami the
mill, as now in operation, can furnish 40 M. feel
ot plank per day, which may be increased if
found necessary ; the power being amply suffi
cient.
The lumber sent from this establishment since
it went into operation has been allowed to b<
superior in quality snd regularity in tawing.
1 be commistiotfers of the Navy of the Uni
ted States have approved of the ship planks,
furnished from it, and it is highly probable will
give it a preference in future contracts.
R has also been seen and justly admired in
New-York and Philadelphia.
The prospect of a renewed intercourse with
the British West India Islands, renders thh
. vibliahment a desirable mode of investment-
offers, in that case, having been made from
JAMAICA ALONE, for about half of ali the pro
duce of the saw-mill.
The present owners have no objection to con
tinue interested in it to a certain extent, bu'
their other avocations preclude their personal
'attention to it.
For terms and other portlculaf«i apply per
