branches of a sound and accomplished edu

all that is requisite to prepare youth for
an advanced standing in a University. The
Pupils will be under the particular instruc
tion of the Principal, Mr. Gilbert, a gentle
man well qualified for his profession, and
who will space no pains for the advance
ment of those intrusted to his care. The
situation of this Academy is on the North
side of May River, well known to be one Of
the most healthy in the low country of
South Carolina.

the Hunter and Sportsman, as well as to
merchant vessels, as a defence against Pi
rates Pistols containing five or six char
ges, will be found a complete protection
for Travellers.
Guns altered to fire from 3 to 12 times,
with the same safety, accuracy, and force
as ordinary guns, without adding any thing
to the incumbrunce of the piece, each
charge being under perfect control, being
all nut into the gun at the lime of loading,
and divided by wads of leather, which, by
mean# of a sliding lock that primus itself,
may be fired in thu apace ot two secumla
to a charge, or at any longer intervals, at
the option of its possessor.
Orders can be supplied, and guns for
warded for alteration at short notice, on
application to the'subscribers, where the
gun& can he examined.
