Col. F. A. Dillingham, the famoas
advertiser of Plant Juice remedies,
does not lack testimonials of the re
markable cures his remedies have
accomplished during his stay here,
and the latest is one as follows volum
tarily given, as have been others:
Clarkesburg, W. Va., July 3, 1904.
I am thirty years of age, have been
a constant sufferer from rheumatism
for five years, for two years almost,
an invalid. I had consulted with
quite a number of experienced doc
tors. They all said, no relief for me,
only an operation, which I finally un
derwent. No relief then, worse If
anything. Not a day without an ache
or pain. When sitting up or lying In
bed could not get on my feet without
someone’s assistance: could not raise
my hand to my head, put my hands
behind my back or raise my pillow
to my head for three years. Since
I have lived here I have consulted
with two of the best doctors of this
city. They both said they could do
me no good. Both advised me to go
to Mt. Clemens; that would probably
cure me If anything would; if not a
cure, it would probably benefit me.
I had fully decided to go this fall
Three thousand dollars would not
cover what I have paid for my doc
toring. I had taken one bottle when
I really felt well. When the time
came to take my medicine I raised
on my feet, went and raised the bot
tle with piy lame arm, which I had
not used for three yers. Thinking
at the time, raising my arm to my
head seven or eight times, was it pos
sible that I was to be without an
ache or pain once again.
1 took two bottl$jt of the medicine
before I felt the positive cure,
this writing I can say I surely do fe6l
fine. I began with the medicine
Tuesday, June 28. Friday I felt real
well, better ever since I took the
medicine,
I am In better health today than I
have ever been for four years,
surely cannot say enough in
praise. I owe you many thanks.

“Worse, nnd I got so bad that when
I moved to 302 East Pike street,
Clarksburg, W. Va., where I now
live, my neighbors remarked that
could not live a month. I took treat
ment from physicians here and they
told me they could do nothing for me
and advised me to take a trip to Mt.
Clemens. They gave me no encour
agement as to getting well, but be
lieved I might be benefltted and be
relieved of at least part of my suffer*
Inga. I had read of several cures be
ing effected by the use of Plant Juice,
but this did not impress me in the
least, as I had given up all hope of
ever being free from the affliction.
A friend came to me last Thursday,
June 28, and said: ‘Mrs. Kapral,
you buy a bottle of Plant Juice, I
feel sure It will cure you.’
*'I concluded to give It a trial,
couple of friends brought me a bot
tle of Plant Juice. This they advised
me. would be a cure. Again I lost
confidence, remembering my past ex
perience with medicines—the gallons
I had taken without result. It seems
incredible that so small a quantity
could effect a cure. I took the first
dose at five o'clock that afternoon,
then again at eight o’clock, and be
fore I had finished the bottle all my
pain was gone. In four days all the
swelling had left my hands, knees
and feet. I found to my astonish
ment that I could walk without pain,
could use my arms and limbs. I
continued treatment as directed,
took in all two bottles of Plant Juice,
and today, July 3, I am the happiest
oman in Clarksburg. Every person
ishlng to do so can write me at 302

and I will gladly Verify the above
statement.”
With such testimonial as the above
and there seems to bo no question
about the facts—Col. DHlingbam has
certainly a medicine that Is destined
to bring about much more happiness
than there Is in the world, and that
this wonderful remedy does what the
science of medicine falls to do is a
great recommendation for it.
Mr*. Kapral’s Is only one of the

missioner J. W. Lindsey, who has
Just completed the rolls for next year.
There were 2,583 new applicants
for pensions filed with the commis
sioner this year out of which he ap
proved 1,354 and disapproved and re
turned for amendment 1,284.
With the new applications approv
ed the total number of pensioners for
1906 will be 16,398 as against 15,057
for 1905, an Increase of 314 allowing
for a total decrease of 1,021 from the
1905 rolls on account of deaths. From
past experiences however, the death
rate is quite inaccurately estimated.
The 15,398 pensioners for 1906 and
the amounts which will be required
to pay those In each class are divid*
ed as follows:
Indigent widows .. .. 2,257 135,429
Disabled soldiers .. ..2,872 157,960
Widows (old roll .. ..2,554 163,2’0
The total appropriation for the pay
ment of pensions in 1906, made by
the legislature, was $890,000 which,
as will be seen from the foregoing
figures, will leave a deficit of $19,520.
Despite the increase in the roils,
however, the deficit for 1906 will not
be as great as that for 1905, which
was $27,500, a sum which had to be
appropriated In a special bill by the
legislature at its last session.
Despite the fact that more liberal
pension laws were passed at the last
session of the legislature the increase
for 1906 Is less than that for 1905
which was 650 new pensioners.
