THE VALDOST
OLD SOKES
SAP THE VITALITY
AND UNDERMINE
THE HEALTH*
Old Sores that refuse to heal are a constant
Imenace to health. They sap the vitality and undermine the constitution by
I draining the system of its very life fluids, and those afflicted with one of
I these ulcers grow despondent and almost desperate as one treatment after
[another fails. They patiently apply salves, washes, plasters, etc., but in
I Spite of all these the sore refuses to heal and eats deeper into the surround -
| ing flesh, destroying the tissues and growing to be a festering, inflamed and
I angry mass. The source of the trouble is in the blood. This vital fluid is
■ filled with impurities and poisons which are constantly being discharged
■into the sore or ulcer, making it impossible for the place to heal. It will not
Ido to depend on external applications for a cure, because they do not reach
■the real cause, and valuable time is lost experimenting with such treatment;
he most they can do is keep the ulcer clean. Any sore that will not heal is
dangerous, for the reason that it may have the deadly germs of Cancer behind
A cure can be brought about only through a remedy that can change the
quality of the blood, and this is what S. S. S. does. It goes to the very
' ottora of the trouble, drives out the poisons and germs with which it is
filled, and purifies and builds up the entire cir
culation. By the use of S. S. S. the sore is
supplied with new, rich blood which corrects
the trouble soon stops the discharge, and allows
the place to heal naturally and permanently.
I PURELY VEGETABLE. s * s - s also reinvigorates the entire system, and
I • ’ where the constitution has been depleted or
I broken down it quickly builds it up and restores perfect health. Write for
[ our special book on sores and ulcers, and any medical advice you are in need
of; no charge for either. THE SWIFT SPECIFIC CO., A TLANTA, GA.

A report to this effect has been cur

politicians generally for some 'time,
and that there is something in the
rumor Is shown by the refusal of the
governor to either affirm, deny or
discuss the matter.

Has 9 Spiral Knives and Cuts Stalks into 8*inch Pieces.
Labor|Saving Farm Machinery
The most successful and satisfactory Stalk Cutter in the field. Is practically all steel and wrought
iron and has no castings that break. The axles are of the finest cold rolled steel. _ High steel wheels
34-inches in diameter, with 2-inch.tires and removable boxes. Double edge and reversible knives.
Drag hooks are raised or lowered by pressure upon the foot treadle. The cylinder revolves on the axle
and the axle itself does not revolve, hence no danger of vines or trash winding about the axle. A sim
ple attachment on the axle brushes away any trash that might have a tendency to clog or gather
between the knives. Has a steel hood or cover which is carried completely over the knives, protecting
the driver both from the danger of falling on the knives and from flying dirt and stalks and has an easy
spring seat that overcomes any jolting.
Any degree of penetration can be given the knives by means of the lever, by which the entire weight
of the machine and driver can be forced on the knives, which, in case of damp or heavy stalks, can be
increased by putting such weight In weight box as may be found necessary. Removable boxes in both
wheels and cylinder spider.
