and his two sons, Jesse and Milton,
and Alf Moore, colored, under sen
tence of death for the killing of the

which will he granted by Governor

The Flint River and Gulf Railroad
has been completed to Bridgeboro,
Ga., making a ^llne of 32 miles. This
gives three good connections, the
Georgia Northern Railway at Bridge
boro, tho A. C. L. at Sylvester and
the Georgia Southern & Florida at
Ashburn. The Hue now has two
daily passenger trains and two daily
freights.
The Flint River & Gulf is doing a
good business. There are five tur
pentine stills <iii the line, seven saw
mills, and a steam wood spirits plant
at Turner. The lino runs through
the choice pine belt farm lands In
South Georgia and already a number
of progressive farmers and truck
growers are clearing lands and in a
few years developments will be

An experiment with a new carrier
for oranges was made recently by
W. 8. Hart, of Hawkes. Fig. About
the first of March Mr. Hart made a
shipment In the new carrier to Dorian
Germany. The carrier, or box, Is a
recent Invention for the safer pack
ing of oranges, grape fruit, etc.,
which have heretofore frequently
kept very, badly in transit. The box
lopks like a tall cheese-box with small
pasteboard partitions very similar to
