Bill For Court of Appeals

Appeals In Georgia passed the House this afternoon
by a vote of 144 to 4. It provides for three judges to
constitute the Court of Appeals. The Senate will
also pass it.

New York, July 25—Encased in a hermetically sealed cop
per envelope, placed within a solid mahogany coffin, the body of
Russell Sage today will be placed in a chilled steel case four
inches thick, riveted with steel bolts, and locked with a lock
which cannot be opened. The steel case weighs three tons.
Immediately after the steel box has been lowered into the grave,
electrical connection will be made to give warning if any attempt
is made to tamper with the body. The coffin cost, approximate
ly, a thousand dollars. The case, with unpickable .lock, cost
twenty-two thousand dollars.
Following a brief committal seryice at the grave, today, the
lid of the steel case will be finally closed.
Young Lady’s Eyes Shot Out.
Monticello, Ga., July 25.—Both eye? were shot from the head
of Miss Eva Kilgore in Jasper county today as the result of the
accidental discharge of a gun in the hands of James Niblett who
“didn’t know the gun was loaded.” Mrs. Niblett was also se
riously wounded. News of the accident has just reached Monti
cello from the country, where it took place, and details are
lacking.
