J. J. Mavis, Esq.—Dear Sir:—I have very great AlsA. a fine assortment ofChatelanei, Breast Pins,
pleasure in writing you, touching tho effects of your
Super-Phospbate of Lime on our Cotton crop. Hav
ing tested it against four other preparations, I find
the appearance of the plant is most hopeful and
promising, as regards a largo and remunerating
yield. 1 feel certain your manure will give from
one hnndred, to one hundred and thirty ponnds of
Cotton more than any other preparation per acre.
It is a remarkable fact that no Rust is seen in the
plant where 70ur Slanuro has been used, while all
other* show Rust more or less, and this is especial-
ly the case where Guano has been used.
And last, though not least, as regards the Planter’s
interest, I feel certain that Cotton from Super-Phos
phate will Weigh Aluch Heavier than from any e th
er preparation, in this particular. 1 believe l’hos
phates are destined to work the greatest possible
revolution in the Cotton-growing States of the Sonth. „
The plants look most vigorous aud luxurious, some Perfumery and Toilet Stands, suitable for presents
being aix feet high, and holding from eighty to one i and Toilet use.

WOLFE’S Gfil'DLVE COGNAC BRANDY,
WOLFE’S GENUINE PORT WINE,
WOLFE’S GENUINE MADEIRA WINE,
Wolfe’s Genuine Sherry Wine.
I AM now supplying the trade with pure Cognac
Brandy, in bottles, both for medical and private
use. The immense success that has crowned my
efforts to place a pure Gin within the reach of all,
nnder the name of Aromatic Schiedam Schnapps,
and to drive ont of the market the pernicious com
pound, sold as Gin throughout the country, led nany
leading druggists, apothecaries and medical men,
for some years past, to solicit tne to pursue the same
course in regard to the article of Brandy. I should
have complied with these requests from all quarters
long ego, but was deterred from it by the fact, that
owing to the exorbitant prices of Brandy Iu France,
consequent upon the shortness ofthe grape crop for
soino years, there was no chance of my being able
to import the choicest Brandy, bottle it and sell it
at moderate prices. Fortunately tor me, tho grape
crop for the last and previous year (and' the pros
pect for this) was abundant, and prices of Brandy
have fallen to the standard of ten years :igo. The
duty on Brandy is also seventy per cent, lower, and
I have now made arrangements with four Brandy-
exporters in France, of the highest repute, and am
regularly receiving consignments of the best Cog
tiac Brandy, which I am bottling and selling as
Wolfe’s Genuine Cognac Brandy. I guarantee with
my seat, labels find certificates, the Brandy so hot-,
tied by me, as the pure, unadulterated article, and
it will be found, when used as a medicine, a bever
age, or a cordial, healthful and invigorating. It has
been a matter of universal complaint, that a bottle
of pure, uumixed French Brandy, was very difficult
to obtain, and the purebaser.-nine times in ten, was
deceived with a vile manufactured imitation. Of

grave, self-desfroyers, from delirium tremens,
mauia-a-potu and horrors, names unknown, until
unprincipled men began to make maddening com
pounds and sell it as Die pure French Brandy.
The virtues of pure Peench Brandy need not be
told by me. They are known throughout the world
as a medicine or mild stimulant. It is, as the French
nation poetically call it, “Eau de la vie,” tho water
of life. But this applies to it only wheu pure, and
unadulterated. Manufactured with the fearful in
grq$iients that make a good imitation, it becomes a
death drink to innocent tens of thousands of our
race. To remedy a fearful evil, I have commenced
importing Brandy, bottling -it, and selling it as
“Wolfe's Gennine Cognac Brandy.” I am daily re
ceiving orders from the druggists and apothecaries
in all parts of the Union, to sell it for medical pur
