There are at present about a
dozen new residences iu process

old Uncle Jimmie Cleghoru in
our last weeks issue, which oc
curred iu the afternoon of the day
of the late election, after the old
man had figured pretty much all
the day at the polls in the iutrest
of the cause. Uncle Jimmie
claimed to be a brother, or near
kinsman of Mr Cleghorn, of the
old firm of Cleghorn, Herring &
Co., Augusta, Ga, and Philadel
phia, Pa. He Alas one of the ol
dest citizens of Paulding countj.

Married.—In Atlanta, at the
Southern Hotel, Decatur Street,
on last Thursday, about noon,

Allen, was mirrled to Miss Ten-
nio G. Caldwell, of West End,
Esq. Pitchford officiating.
The whole afiate was conducted
crushing his skull, his right hand
being cut off at the wrist by the
ponderous wheals, his body
otherwise fearfully contused. The
train ran about a mile before its
speed could he checked, and re
turning, Mr.’Fisher was brought
down to Dallas in an uncoucious
condition, where Drs. Connally
nnd Fostor were called to him.
but surgical aid could be of no
avail. He died at 3 o’cloek and
5 minutes on Friday morning. His
remains were forwarded to hfs
family in Kentucky for interr-
ment.
