Mr. A. R. Botnar, of Campbell
R county, is visiting his nephew, Dr
T, J. Foster, of this place. Mr.
Botnar is 82 yearn old. Mr. Botnar
is the only surviving member ef

brothers and sisters lived to be
over 80 years of age. Mr. Bomar,
himself, is as active at 82 as moat
men are at 60.
Mr. W. D. Cornett, son of Mr.
Sam Cornett, and Miss Lizzie Me-
Brayer, daughter of Mr. Jas. Me-
Brayer, all of this comity, were
married last week. There were
some parental objections, and the
young couple quietly secured a
marriage license from Hon. 15. W
Y. Allgood, and were married be
fore the oi l folks knew what was
up.
Col. A. J. Camp and wife were
called to V" 11a Rica on last Friday

of James M. HatnricI: Sr., who died
at noon, in that pitcs on tl.e 17th
Inst. Mr. Hamr.ck was quite
old man, being in his 84th year.
He was laid to rest on Saturday at

rollton in a vault which he had
prepared for the purpose some 10
