TILE ENUMERATOR
On the \>th oC-Ur.ii tm.uAlt lh«
enumerators appo'nted by (In
board of education will b gin the
work of enumerating the children
in tho county between the ages of
6 and 18 years.
Wo fear that many of tho peo
ple of our c Jiinty do n it kn nv the
importance of having every child
in tho county between the ages of
6 and 18 yean returned in tli3
enumerati m.
Under our school law, the stale
school fund is apportioned to ths
oountins according to the number
of children of school age, within
the county, at tho last enumera
tion.
Therefore, the more children of
school age which a county has, tho
more money’ is apportioned to that
county.
Ilencc, it is necessary and im
portant. that every child of school
ago in tho county should he re
urned to the enumerators.
The board has appointed enough
enumerators to do thu work thor
oughly, and all that is necessary is
that the people of the county take
the interest i 1 tho matter to -;ee
that their children are counted.
If you think that the enumerator
is likely to overlook your children,
[iut hi.11 upon notice.
Lot every child of sdiool age be
counted
