in which the said Beef and Pork is to be
packed, must be made of the best seasoned
heart of White-Oak or White-Ash, free
from sup, with one iron hoop on each
chime, and otherwise fully and substantial
ly hooped, and each barrel must be bran
ded on its head. “Navy Beef,’* or **Na
vy Pork,’* with the “Contractor’s namo.*^
and tlie “.year” when packed. All the
said Beef and Pork on delivery at the res
pective Navy Yards must 6c subjected to
