For Representative we have a
“world of candidates” almost, ami
all are g< od men and will look af
ter and watch the best interest of
our county. Neither of the gen
tlemen in the race would be a
enudi late bad they not been call
ed out by their friends and thought
to lie well qual.fud for the position.
We have no war to matte upon
any of the candidates lx fore us
asking for support, and only hope
that every vote may he cast accor
ding to every man's best judgment.
Let none vote before first knowing
that the man he is trying to eleci

J C. Clem puis.
The Walker county Messenger
has this to ray of the Democratic
candidate for Congress in this dis
trict:
“Our people have tried him, and
found him equal to every pos tion
to which they called him in the
past. He is tried and true, alwavs
on the si le of retrenchment and
reform, an l of that substantial kind
that would relieve the people of
the burdens that are pressing them
down.
If the people want a man that's
a farmer; and man that has toiled
and borne the heat and burden of
the day : Don. J. C. Clements is
the man.
If the people want a self-made
man, a man that has struggled
against fate and the difficulties that
environ the pathway of ever one
that would rise to emin ence and
exalted usefulnessjone who fought
the battle of life faithfully and won
in every conflict: Hon. J. C. (. lem-

On the Gth of next month—next
Wednesday the polls will he opened
at every precinct in the Stiff? for
the purpose of electing Governor,
other State House officers and Leg

duty of every man to ea-t his vote

to elect the man or men best qual

and the inserest they are to guard.
We have very good nominees,
said to ue, for the State House of

why we should not vote for them.
We are quite confident our county
will give A. II. Colquitt, N. (’. Bar
