liv this route a merchant receives each shipment

CATHARTIC PILLS
OPERATE by their powerful 4p£j*
influence on the internal (V
j viscera to purify the blood and J
stimulate it into healthy action. r
j They remove the obstructions of y i
; the stomach, bowels, liver, and —p .gg^^Bljgj3gii>
; other organs of the body, and, f
: by restoring their irregular ac- ’BA i
tion to health, correct, wlierev
er they exist, such derangements
as are the first causes of disease. An extensive trial of
their virtues, by Professors, Physicians and Patients,
has shown cures of dangerous diseases almost beyond
belief, were they not substantiated by persons of such
exalted position and character as to forbid the suspicion
of untruth. Their certificates are published in my
I American Almanac, which the Agents below named are
i pleased to furnish free to all inquiring.
Annexed we give Directions for their use in the com- |
i plaints which they have been found to cure.
For Costiyenkss—Take one or two Pills, or such
I quantity as to gentlv move the bowels. Costiveness is
frequently the aggravating cause of Piles, and the cure
of one complaint is the cure of both. No person can
feel well while under a costive habit of body. Hence
it should be, as it can be. promptly relieved.
. For Dyspepsia, which is sometimes the cause of ( os
tiveness, and always uncomfortable, take mild doses—
from one to four—to stimulate the stomach and liver
into healthy action. They will do it. and the heartburn ,
bodyburn and soulbnrn of dyspepsia will rapidly disap
■ pear. When it lias gone, don't forget what cured you.
For a Four, Stomach, or Morbid Inaction of the
I Bowels, which produces general depression of the spir
its and bad health, take from four to eight Pills nt first,
and smaller doses afterwards, until activity and strength
is restored to the system. .
For Nervousness, Sick Headache, Nausea, rani
in the Stomach, Bark, or Side, take from tour to eight
Pills oil going to bed. If they do not operate sufficient
[ ly, take more the next day until they do. These com-
I plaints will be swept out from the system. Bon t wear
these and tlieir kindred disorders because your stomach
! is foul. .
i For Scrofula, Erysipelas, and all Diseases of the
i Skin, take the Pills freely and frequently, to keep the
bowels open. The eruptions will generally soon begin
: to diminish and disappear. Many dreadful ulcers ami
sores have beeu healed up by the purging and purilying
’ effect of these Pills, and some disgusting diseases which
. seemed to saturate the whole system, have completely
! yielded to their influence, leaving the sufferer in perfect
j health. Patients! your duty to society forbids that you
! should parade yourself around the world covered with
’ pimples, blotches, ulcers, sores, and all or any of the
■ ! unclean diseases of the skin, because your system wants
| cleansing.
! To Purify tue Blood, they are the best medicine
i ever discovered. They should* be taken freely and fro*
! quently. and the impurities which sow the seeds of in
! curable diseases, will he swept out of the system like
chaff before the wind. By this property they do as much :
, good in preventing sickness as by the remarkable cures
which they are making everywhere. j
i LivKK Complaint, Jaundice, and all Bilious Affee
» | lions arise from some derangement—either torpidity, j
congestion, or obstructions of tbe Liver. Torpidity and
’ 1 congestion vitiate the bile a-d render it unfit for diges
tion. This is disastrous to the health, and the consti
-1 tutiiin is frequently undermined by no other cause. In
digestion is the symptom. Obstruction of the duct
! which empties the bile into the stomach causes the bile
■ ; to overflow into the blood. This produces Jaundice,
with a long and dangerous train of evils. Costiveness,
or alternately co>tiveu«ss and diarrhoea, prevails, fe
verish symptoms, languor, lew spirits, weariness, rest
' ■ lessness and melancholy, with sometimes inability to
. sleep, and sometimes great drowsiuess; sometimes there
■ : is severe pain in tile side ; the skin and the white of the
eves become a greenish yellow ; the stomach acid ; the
- ; bowels sore to the touch; the whole system irritab e,
with a tendency to fever, which may turn to bilious fe-
C ver. bilious colic, bilious diarrhoea, dysentery, Ac. A
■ medium dose of three or four Pills taken at night, fol
" . lowed bv two or three in the morning, and repeated a
s , few days', will remove the cause of ail these troubles.
V it is wicked to suffer such pains wlieu you can cure
s ! them for ‘25 cents.
I Rheumatism. Gout, and all Inflammatory Fevers
- , are rapidly cured by the purifying effects of these Hills
upon the blood and the stimulus which they afford to
j the vital principle of Life. F. r these and all kindred
complaints, they should be taken in mild doses, to move
the bowels gently, but freely.
As a Dinner Pill, this is both agreeable and useful.
No Bill cun be made more pleasant to take, and cer
tainly none has been made more effectual to the pur
pose for which a Dinner Pill is employed.

appear. We will, with these three simple remedies,
guarantee a speedy and effectual restoration of the hu
man body to sound and vigorous health, free from ail
bodily pains, aches and infirmities.
HOW DISEASED ACTION BECOMES ESTABLISHED
AND THE BLOOD IMPURE.
A great error has long prevailed in the minds of me i
| ical men, •* That Impurity of the Blood is the Cau.-e o f
Diseased Action.” Tiffs is a serious mistake. It ia a
1 disturbance of the circulation, and the establishment of
i diseased action, that causes impurity of the blood.
The R. R. R. theory holds the truth of the above max
j iras, for if a person be in a state of perfect health, each
! artery and vein must carry to and from the heart iff
; allotted proportion of blood, and when any set ot ve."
; sels refuse ibe the cause what it may) to carry theii
: proportion, the current of blood becomes dammed up
| in other words, a congestion takes place, giving pain to
I a greater or less extent. Here, then, is the beginning
of disea-ed action, which, if not relieved, will soon run
I iuto inflammation, and the disease becomes e: tablished,
i Diseased action being once established, the blood be
; comes impure, and the regularity ol’ action on the part
; of the Liver, Skin, Bowels. Ac , is sure to be interrupt
' ed, and the general system, by sympathising with the
local complaint, becomes involved in the difficulty. That
j this is the true state of the case, let any one call to mind
his symptoms on catching cold. The local difficulty may
be a sore throat, which is a congestion of the blood,
amounting (sometimes) to an inflammation about tL„
throat, owing to a previous deranged state of the cir
culation. and he will remember that, his bowels become
costive, iiis liver deranged, or liis skin dry, and his blood
! impure. Had he used Radway's Ready Relief when tbe
congestion was setting in.as an application to the throat,
and swallowed a dose of the Regulators, he would have
broken up the congestion, and restored the regularity
on the part of the liver, akin, bowels, Ac., which had
. been broken in upon by the effects of the sore throat,
Regularity being again established, the impure blood I,
soon purified, and the circulation again equalized, and
I the healtli restored.

READ HER LETTER.
January ", 1858.
Messrs. Radway A Co. — I tried your Ready Relief,
and had my joints rubbed with it, and I never felt paiu
after the first ten minutes. I was rubbed with it. up to
the present time. Sirs, Ido not know what to compare
it to but a charm ; for it is a mystery to tue. I wa.-a
j cripple for two years, and had not the proper use of my
! limbs for three years I was worn down to a skeleton i
then commenced the Use of your Ready Relief, Raso!-
vent and Regulators. The pain left me in ten minutes,
and 1 b- gan to gain strength very fast, and could walk
j with ease in a few weeks Before I heard of vonr Rem
edies. I was taken to Dr. Parker. Dr. Reese. Dr Ward;-,
: Dr. Maclelan, and many other physicians iu this city, 1
cannot now remember. I was completely pulled to pieces
by them. My constitution was broken up with medi
: cines that did me no good. I could not put a foot le
the ground, nor pick up a pin. I was lifted and carried
up and down stairs like an infant; and now, thank Rod
l by the u-e of your Remedies, I am as strong as ever. I
had the common rheumatism —imfiaimnatorv and
chronic—and the palsy. You can publish this, if you
i like. SARAH A. IIOUGII.
