baby and enter it in our Weekly Photo Jack Pot. The winning baby's photo
will be published in the Augusta News-Review newspaper the following week.
We will use the social security number of the baby's mother or guardian in
our public drawing. This number will represent your baby. The number that
is drawn will be placed in or near this advertisement in the News-Review
newspaper. In order to win, the mother or guardian must find his number
and contact Stewart's Photo Call on or before the next puoushing date,
793-5617 Monday thru Friday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Limited up to five years of age. The public drawings are being neld at
various business locations, in the Augusta area, the next will be at the Club 56
on Highway 56 approximately two blocks south of Tobacco Road July 20 at
b p.m. One News-Review newspaper will be posted at the location of
drawing for use of those who enter our Free Baby Jack Pot, although the
News-Review newspapers are available for purchase at various businesses
throughout the CSRA. Children of persons who are participating in
conducting this Jack Pot are not eligible to draw nor be a winner.

Raoul Janus Daggett, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Daggett of
Augusta, Georgia and the
grandson of Mr. and Mrs.
Eugene Daggett has been
named to the Dean’s List at
Kentucky State University for
the past semester.
He will return to Kentucky
State in the fall as a junior
majoring in the field of music.

Dr. Alandus Johnson, dean
of academic affairs at Miles
College, has been selected by
the Danforth Foundation as
one of four faculty and staff
members from Miles to
participate in the 1975
workshop on Value in Higher
Education.
The purpose of the
Workshop is to provide an
opportunity for outstanding
education consultants to share
their expertise with
representatives from
developing institutions of
higher learning and to examine
the trends of values in higher
education.

The Summer recreation
program at Paine College will
end Friday. The program
served some 750 persons daily.

Tolbert there has been only
one complaint - the program

included swimming, karate,
drama, arts and crafts, an
enrichment program which
included such speakers as the
Governor’s Crime Prevention
Team, Mayor Lewis A.
Newman, City Councilwoman
Carrie J. Mays, and County
Commission Chairman Edward
Mclntyre, and ove r 200 adults
participated in the program at
night.
A professional staff of 26
persons, many of whom hold
masters degrees, supervised the
program. Six water safety
instructors operated swimming
activities at Jones Pool, headed
by Henry Daggett and Norman
Bonner.
Children involved in
swimming were fed feed-a-kid
lunches. The rest of the
children were served hot
lunches at Paine College.
Tolbert expressed gratitude
for the work of local leaders in
getting the program funded. He
cited Mclntyre, Mrs. Mays,
State Rep. R.A. Dent and
George McElveen.
On the state level he
thanked Gov. George Busbee,
Charles Mathis, a Paineite,
Curtis Atkinson, Sonny
Walker, Sen. Herman
Talmadge, Sen. Sam Nunn, and
Danny Minchew.
