Who Has Lost a Mold
On Wednesday, the 17th ins*. Mr.
John W. Powell of <his place took up
a stray mule that had been abandon

The behavior of the party who hi d

lieve that the mule is stolen property.
The mule is about fifteen h inds high,
m use colored and about eight years
old, of the male variety. Any one
having lost such an animal would do
well to come and see this one.

The New Store
To be occupied by Mess. Barr &
Leake is about completed, and they
will open next week—Monday or
Tuesday—and we would rcs|iecifully
suggest to the public that they call and
examine their stock and prices before
going elsewhere to purchase. These
yonng men come to us from the
live city of. Atlanta, and they come
well recommended for business pluck
and energy. They hav# spared no
pains in selecting their stock, and it
is their purpose to snpply this com
munity with a better class of dry
goods than is nsually found in towns
of this size and thereby save the peo
ple the trouble and expense of going
or sending to other markets to get
fiue goods. They will keep a splen
did line of Dry Goods, Notions,
Shoes, Hats, Clothing, Fancy Gro
ceries, Ac. They are also agents.for
two large clothing manufactory es
tablishments and will keep on hand
a full line of samples of all grades,
from the best imported goods, from
which you can select snch goods as
von want and they will take yonr
measure and have the clothes made
to order, aud guarantee a fit, and
have them here from ten days to
two weeks from the time yonr mea
sure is taken. This is a new feature
in our town and we hope that they
may receive a liberal share of pat
ronage, and meet with abundant suc
cess in their new enterprise.
