Mr. Malcolm Hires mid Miss
Dollie McConnell, both of whom
live just west of Adel, were mar¬
ried in Colquitt county last Sun¬
day morning. It was known
that they contemplated matri¬
mony and there was no objection
to the match, but the young
couple preferred a quiet marriage
and Sunday morning drove over
into Colquitt county expecting to
he married at the home of Judge
Runndall Folsom. However, that
gentleman was mot on the way
and the ceremony wae performed
in the road.
The bride is n daughter of Mr.
and Mrs, John McConnell and is
a prettv .'chi! vouug lady. She has
been a 9 favorite m the com-
in unity in which she Jived.
Mr. Hires te a s<»u of Mr- and
Mrs. Philip Hires and is an ener-
getie voung man. He has been
working with his brorherdn-law,
Mr. Bryan, in Adel for the last

maintaining separate colored
schools instead of having them
