Boy Scout Troop #210 meets
each Monday at 7 p.m. at the
Leesburg United Methodist
Church Learning Center.
The Lee County Historical So
ciety meets each second Thursday
at 7 p.m.
The American Legion meets
each first Monday at 7 p.m. at the
American Legion Building.
The Masonic Lodge meets each
second and fourth Thursday night
at 7 p.m. at the American Legion
Building.
The Youth of the Leesburg
United Church will have a Youth
Prayer Breakfast each Thursday
at 7:15 a.m.
There will be a Women’s Bible
Study at the First Baptist Church
each Friday from 10 a.m. till
11:30 a.m. All ladies are welcome.
The Men of the Leesburg United
Methodist Church will be meet
ing at Krystal’s in Leesburg at 8
a.m. each Tuesday for a Prayer
Breakfast.
There is a Men Prayer Break
fast each Wednesday at 6 and 7
a.m. at First Baptist Church.

urday when they attended a Fam
ily Get-Together in Fayetteville,
Georgia at the home of Bud and
Annette Holt. Annette is the niece
of Grace Rhodes, who is the sis
ter of Mr. Carson Bradley, de
ceased. Jim, Toni and Graham
Rhodes of Stone Mountain, Geor
gia were there also.
The UMM of the Leesburg
United Methodist Church will
have their monthly meeting
Thursday at 7 p.m.
The Youth of First Baptist
Church will be taking the bus to
Bainbridge, Georgia for the foot
ball game. The bus leaves at 6
p.m. on Friday, October 19.
The First Baptist Church will
have their Revival beginning Sun
day, October 21 through October
25 at 6:45 p.m.

Flint River Habitat for Human

the engagement of their daughter,
Rebecca Ann Hammond of Lub
bock, Texas, to Justin Paul
Kendall. Mr. Kendall is the son
of James and Cheryl Kendall of
Robert Lee, Texas.
The bride-elect is the grand
daughter of Willis L. Payne of
Bronwood and Faith and Ben
Young of Albany and the late L.G.
Hammond of Americus.
The wedding is planned for 5:00
p.m. on December 29,2001 at the
Windsor Hotel in Americus.
Miss Hammond is a 1991
graduate of Lee County High
School and a 1995 graduate of
Georgia State University in At
lanta, where she received her
Bachelor of Science Degree in
Finance. She is employed by
American Bank of Commerce in
Lubbock, Texas as an accountant
in the operations department.
Mr. Kendall is the grandson of
Clayton and Melba Perry of Lub
bock, Texas and Mattie Lee
Kendall and the late Fay Kendall
of Robert Lee. Texas.
Mr. Kendall is a graduate of
Robert Lee High and is currently
attending Texas Tech University
where he will earn a Bachelor of
Science in Engineering. He is em
ployed by Pyko Industries.

Bernard Scoggins and Dr. Neeta Sukthanker.
