Appraiser II
Under supervision and direction of chief
appraiser, make appraisals of real property
of the more complex types. The Appraiser
II must be 21 years of age or older and
hold a high school diploma or its equiva
lent, The Appraiser must be in good physi
cal and mental health and have the ability
to interact well with the general public.
Applicant must have the aptitude to learn
to perform assigned tasks, including re
viewing maps and photography; locating
property and gathering all information
necessary to determine value; performing
basic research on building costs and sales
data; computing appraisal values using
the Georgia Appraisal Program. Must have
experience in general office duties, com
puter literacy; and excellent customer
service skills. Applicant must be currently
certified by the Department of Revenue as
an Appraiser II or be able to obtain certifi
cation within 12 months of employment,
which entails successfully completing the
appraiser exam established for this level.
This position requires attendance at certifi
cation courses presented by Georgia
Department of Revenue. The salary range
is $17,680.00 to $18,720.00 depending on
qualifications.
