12 Permits Issued For
New Homes In July
During the month
of July 2019, the Lee
County Building Permit
Office issued 12 permits
for single family dwell
ings. Ten permits were
issued in the unincorpo
rated area of Lee County
and two in Leesburg.
The estimated con
struction cost of the ten
homes in the unincorpo
rated area of Lee County
was $1,123,775.00.
During July, three
permits were issued for
mobile homes in the un
incorporated area of Lee
County. The estimated
cost of the mobile homes
were $76,500,000.
Permits issued in the
unincorporated area of
Lee County included
four accessory buildings
permits, eight residential
addition and alteration
permits, seven commer
cial accessory permits,
34 electrical permits,,
12 plumbing permits, 56
heating & air permits,
and three gas permits.
During July, two per
mits were issued for a
houses in Leesburg. The
estimated cost of the
houses was $288,115.00.
In Leesburg, four
electrical permits were
issued in Leesburg along
with one plumbing per
mit and three heating &
air permits.
In Smithville, one
commercial accessary
permit was issued. Two
electrical and one heat
ing & air permits were
issued in Smithville.

Volunteers recently spent their Saturday working on the Habitat House
in Leesburg recently. Members of the Leesburg Church Christ and Lee
County School System were among the volunteers that were involved
in the build. Proceeds from the Hero’s Run to benefit a Veterans House
are being used for this build. Among the volunteers were Exective
Director/CEO Scooter Courtney, John Savelle LCMS W, Pam Willis
KPS, Rev. Howard Bouldin, Pastor Leesburg Church of Christ; Lee
County School Faculty, Jon Saville, Principal, Pam Willis, Principal;
Don Hutichison, Georgia Power; Judy Powell, Leesburg City Council;
along withJessi Robinson; Bill Riddle, Martin Mitchell, James Hall, Dick
