Children’s Program AWANA starts soon at FBC Leesburg

6:15 - 7:30 p.m.

AWANA registration.
Come meet the direc
tors, ask questions and
register your child for
the upcoming AWANA
year. We’ll have lots of
fun activities and snacks
for the kids while you’re
registering and they’ll
be entertained by Rain
bow and Onion Head
the clowns!!!

4 areas of AWANA
ministry:
PUGGLES® is for
ages 1 and 2 year olds.
Children learn the four
Big Truths during the
AWANA year. The
simple takeaways help
form a foundationn for
faith that’s strengthened
by fun and interactive
curriculum and parent
material.
CUBBIES® is for 3
year olds and Pre-K
children. Kids learn
basic truths about God,
Jesus and salvation
through fun handbooks
and more. This two
year preschool ministry
curriculum features ex-
Four Hospitalists Join
Phoebe Physicians

Phoebe Physicians
recently welcomed four
new physicians to its
highly-skilled hospitalist
team at Phoebe Putney
Memorial Hospital -
Rami Bahloul, MD,
Priscilla Eqyir-Biney,
MD, Joseph Mariano,
MD and Laura De Sim
one, MD.
Dr. Bahloul earned his
medical degree from
Saba University School
of Medicine in Saba,
Dutch Caribbean. He
completed his Internal
Medicine residency at
the University of Florida
College of Medicine
Jacksonville. Dr.
Bahloul is a member of
the American College of
Physicians and the Soci
ety of General Internal
Medicine.
Dr. Biney earned her
medical degree from
the University of Ghana
Medical School. She
completed her Internal
Medicine residency at
Piedmont Athens Re
gional Medical Center,
where in 2016 she was
awarded the Residents
Choice Award. She is a
member of the American
College of Physicians.
Dr. Biney enjoys volun
teering and has worked
with Operation Smile, a
volunteer organization
headquartered in Vir
ginia Beach that offers
cleft care to children
with cleft lip and palate
all over the world.
Dr. Marino, who is a
graduate of the Phoebe
Family Medicine Resi
dency program, earned
his medical degree from
Ross University School
Medicine. He was one of
the Co-Chief residents
for the 2019 class and is
board-certified in Fam
ily Medicine.
Dr. De Simone is also
a recent graduate of the
Phoebe Family Medi
cine Residency program
where she was Co- Chief
resident alongside Dr.
Mariano. She earned
her degree from Rutgers
Robert Wood Johnson
Medical School.
A hospitalist’s primary
focus is general medi
cine. They coordinate a
patient’s care while he
or she is in the hospi
tal - treating acute and
chronic conditions, co
ordinating care between
specialists and discharge
planning.
The Phoebe Physicians
network consists of more
than 300 dedicated,
multi-specialty physi
cians and advanced
practice providers -
including primary care
and more than 30 medi
cal specialties. Each pro
vider is integrated with
the community they
serve, providing local
access and patient-cen
tered care that extends
beyond our hospital
locations.

ter and nature of God
and identity of Christ.
T&T is for our 3rd - 5th
Grade children. This
three year upper elemen
tary school ministry
curriculum is created
to ensure that kids and
leaders connect through
God’s Word through
large and small group
times, games and fel
lowship.

Special to the Ledger
Lee County utilizes
Gov-Deals website to
sell any County vehicles
and/or equipment that
are no longer operation
al, are worn out, or are
no longer of use to the
County. This year we
have had several high
mileage and high main
tenance vehicles, which
were not operational or
created a safety issue.
With the sale of these
vehicles and equipment,
the staff was able to
purchase the following
vehicles to replace those
that were worn out:
1. Three F-150 4 door
pickup trucks
a. One 2012 model,
one 2013 model, and
one 2015 model
2. One 6-ton dump
trailer
3. One 2008 Chevrolet
3500
a. Truck and the
equipment needed for
it to function as a shop
truck (tool boxes air
compressor, etc.)
These vehicles and
equipment were pur
chased at a cost of
$62,500.00, which is
budgeted in neutral
revenue. They were
issued to the follow
ing departments: the
County Shop, Parks
and Recreation, Facili
ties Maintenance, and
Public Works.
