Arrest of Roderick Terrell Ferrell
Special to the Ledger
On November 30,
2023, The Lee County
Sheriff’s Office Nar
cotics Investigation
Division, Lee County
Sheriff’s Office Uni
form Patrol Division,
and the Georgia Bu
reau of Investigation
Southwestern Regional
Drug Enforcement
Office conducted an
enforcement operation,
which resulted in the
state arrest of Roderick
Terrell Ferrell (36 YOA)
of Albany, GA and the
seizure of approximate
ly 11 gross pounds of
marijuana. Deputies
and agents were further
assisted by troopers with
the Georgia State Patrol
Post 40 during this
operation.
At approximately 1808
hours, troopers and dep
uties conducted a traffic
stop in the 1200 block
of U.S. Hwy 82 West
in Lee County, GA on
a black Mercedes SUV
being driven by Ferrell.
During the stop, troop
ers and deputies began a
probable cause search of
the vehicle. As deputies
began to search the vehi
cle, Ferrell fled the scene
on foot and was taken
into custody a few min
utes later after a brief
foot pursuit. Ferrell was
arrested without further
incident and transported
LCSO SFC Aaron Parker (seizing deputy) with
the marijuana from the arrest.

to the Fee County Jail
for the booking process.
A search of the vehi

ijuana, concealed inside
a black garbage bag and
a black duffle bag in the
rear cargo area of the
vehicle. The marijuana
had a total approxi
mate gross weight of 11
pounds. Additionally,
deputies also seized a
quantity of U.S. cur

Ferrell was driving.
Ferrell was booked
into the Fee County

maintain lane (misde
meanor), obstruction of
law enforcement officers
(misdemeanor), and pro

trafficking organization,
operating throughout
the Metro-Atlanta, GA
area and the Albany, GA
area.
Deputies and agents
request that anyone with
additional information
regarding Ferrell or
others to call the Fee

arrests in this case are
expected in the future.

GBI and GSP for their
continued partnership
with the Fee County
Sheriff’s Office in their
effort to combat crime

On Nov. 17, 2023, Twin Oaks hosted the
annual Parent Involvement Day with our
TOES on the Road and Veterans bags.
Students decorate bags with drawings
and pictures to recognize and honor our
veterans. Families join them to walk around
the bus parking area and view the bags and
put their ‘TOES’ on the road. Twin Oaks
also celebrated their retirees from 2009
to present with the dedication of fruit tree
orchard behind the school complete with a
chamber of commerce ribbon cutting. They
also dedicated the steps in the lunchroom to
Wendy and Tom Edwards for their hardwork
and unwavering support for the Twin Oaks
Drama program.
