t N. Ridley, J-J. Hyman, R. A. Bedgood,
H. Bedgood, T. A. Royal, S. A. Royal
. M. Patterson, J. D. Pate and J. S*
McKinzie; All of said county and state,
respectfully shows:
[I] That a school has been established
in said county known as the HOUSTON
HIGH SCHOOL.
[II] That ther, their associates and
successors in office desire to be incor
porated its a body politic and corporate
under the name and style of the HOUS
TON HIGH SCHOOL, and by that
name transact all business herein, after
prayed for, make contracts, borrow motl
ey, and create such evidences of debt as
the corporation may desire, and secure
the same by mortgage, deed, deed ol
trust,.or other securities upon its prop
erty or any part thereof, and to have and
exercise all such other powers as are
specified by the laws of Georgia for
corporations of similar character, and as
mar be necessary to carry out the pur
poses of this incorporation. ‘
ITI. The objects of said incorporation
are to be; to enforce good order, receive
donations., make purchases, and effect
alienations ot realty or personalty, not
for the,purposes of trade and profit, ‘ but
for the purpose of promoting the general
design, and looking 'after ' the general
interest of said school.
IV, The principal-office and school
buildings of said - incorporation shall be
in the town of Arab!, Dooly county, Ga.
V. Petitioners pray that they may be
granted thei right to make all proper
roles, constitution and by laws, and to
alter same-at pleasure; also that they
have the power to elect all such officers
and agents as they see fit. The period pf
satd incorporation shall be twenty years
with the privilege of renewal as provided
bylaw.
• Wherefore, yonr petitioners pray, after
this petition has been filed and recorded
by law,- and when --the’ same has been
published ns provided by the statute; the
granting of an 7 order investing and
clothing them and-their successors in
office with the corporate authority and
powers aforesaid.

Agreeable to an order granted by the
court of Ordinary on the first Monday in
February 1903, will be sold at the court
hsuse door in raid county on the first
Tuesday in October 1902 within the legal
hours of rale, the lands of J. K. Fields,
late of said county deceased. Said lands
sold as the property of raid deceased, and
described as follows: All of lot of land
