A Fight Prevented.
At the passenger depot yesterday
morning, about 7 o'clock, two negro
firemen, Jim Kennedy and George
Jackson got into"a quarrel about

rough language was used resulting in
the drawing of weapons, Jackson his
knife and Kennedy his pistol. Notwith
standing Kenncdt had his pistol point
ed at him, Jackson was advancing on
Kennedy with his open knife, when
Officer Harman interfered and arrest
ed both of the would-be combatants.

Mrs. Phuchc Chcsley. Peterson, Clay Co.,
Iowa, tells the following remarkable story,
the truth of which is vouched for by the
residents of the town : ‘‘Iain 7.1 years old,
have been troubled with kidney complaint
and lameness for many years; could not
dress myself without help. , Now 1 am, free
from all p in and soreness* and am able to
do all my own hotlsework. I owe my
thanks to Electric Hitters for having rent
ed my youth, and removed completely all
disease and pain.” Try a bottle, 50c! and

Worth Knowing.
Mr. W. If. Morgan, merchant, Lake City,
Fla., was taken with a severe cold, attended
with a distressing cough and running into
Consumption in its first stages. He tried
many so-called popular cough remedies and
steadily grew worse. Was "educed in flesh,
had difficulty in breathing and was unable
to sleep. Finally tried Dr. Wing’s New Dis
covery for Consumption nnd found imme
diate relief, ami after using about half a
dozen bottles mund himself well and has
had no return of the disease. No other
remedy can show so grand a record of cures,

its peculiar troubles by using J)r. Acker’s Baby
